At El Silencio we specialise in Tacos & Margaritas with a dive-bar ambience. The music is loud and the drinks are strong ¡Andale!

Our tacos use gf corn tortillas from Balam - a Mexican food business set up by Eduardo and his team in Dublin. We have an excellent array of plant-based options too including the Vegan Prison Tray.

Our margaritas (11 different combinations and counting) use only the best 100% agave tequila and mezcal.

We don't mess around with wine/whiskey/vodka/dessert/coffee - just margaritas & tacos cabrones!

Found this place by accident. Will definitely be back. Cool. Buzzy. Bit dingy in a very good way. Would prefer if they’d a bit more choice on the menu but between 3 of us we ordered pretty much everything and it was all very tasty. And really cold beers👍

We had a fabulous meal and amazing drinks. Jerk chicken tacos and corn salad side were standout favourites. We ordered pretty much all the tacos and every mouthful was a delight. The drinks were fabulous with varying levels of spiciness. Mangorita yum! Service was great and wait staff friendly. Overall we worth it, we will be back!

Unfortunately I didn't enjoy the evening here. Overhyped on Instagram. Food was average. Street corn came and wasn't on the cob as we were expecting. Tacos were grand - pork meat was tender but tortillas were soggy wet from juices. Cocktails were hit and miss - one lovely one, one bland one. Friend got one that was supposed to be sparkling and it was totally flat. Waiter taking our order was very friendly and helpful recommending dishes and drinks when we asked, but once we were served our food and drink no one approached us again. No one asked if everything was alright i.e. food, no one asked if we wanted another drink. We had to wave someone over to order a second drink and the response was: well you only have 30 minutes left for the table. After ordering our second drink all of our plates, which were mostly empty, stayed on the table - the table wasn't cleared. We stacked up our own plates and pushed them aside and finally when we got our second drink, we asked the waiter could they clear the table please. Bear in mind this was a Wednesday evening at 6.45pm, so not peak busyness of a weekend. Would not return and would not recommend unfortunately.

Went on a Taco Tuesday night so we were able to enjoy a variety of them! Too bad we ordered the Prawn Taco but it never got to our table but overall it was great. 😊

Don’t think we will be back. It’s all very rushed, we were sat down 2 minutes hadn’t even read the menu and the girl was over asking do we know what we want to drink. She came over again within a small space of time and asked again we still were trying to read the menu. The food was average and they want to whip your plates away the minute you take your last bite of food. It’s very rushed, you can’t really relax. Music was very loud to point couldn’t really hear each other. The margaritas are nice and good selection.
