We are a New Mexico COVID-19 certified business.

El Rincon Cafe is a fine dining establishment based around a relaxed New Mexican atmosphere. All of our produce is sourced from the Santa Fe Farmer’s Market when available. Our poultry, meat, and fish is sourced from free roaming, grass fed, or wild caught farms. Our menu is traditional farm to table Northern New Mexican cuisine.

                                                We have eaten at Estevan's (as this restaurant used to be called) numerous times before, but this was only our second visit at El Rincon. The menu is pretty much the same, but the dishes were tastier than they used to be. They do not yet have a liquor license, which is a shame, but the waiter assured us that they would have one next month. The prices are a bit high. The ambience is pretty much unbeatable.

                                                Food was fantastic. Not having liquor license, which they had informed us about, so no surprise, was still quite a bummer. Can't wait to go back when they get their liquid license. But the bar downstairs was a nice after dinner drink spot and the waiter whenever offered to bring us our dessert there. Excellent service, though it was pretty dead probably because no liquor.

                                                In a town with many fine restaurants, El Rincon deserves ranking at or near the top. Modest in size, it does not get the same attention as some of the more heralded restaurants. Yet it serves consistently superb meals, from appetizers through desserts

                                                Food was ordinary and not worth the high price. Room was cozy and pleasant. Service was ok, not fantastic, not bad. In line with the price of the restaurant. Food was nothing special. The quail was simply roasted and dry. Mashed potatoes were just ok. A couple steamed vegetables but not worth the price.

                                                Wonderful experience and amazing food. The best lamb I’ve ever had. The albondigas were also delicious. The restaurant uses Chimayo red chile which has a rich flavor (probably the most flavorful red chile available in downtown Santa Fe). The menu offers fresh, unique, locally-based dishes, such as quail. The space is cozy and has wonderful ambiance. Can’t rate this place highly enough, everything is top notch.

                                                Small and cozy. Great atmosphere. Service impeccible. Standard menu not utilized. Instead we were there Christmas day with a special holiday menu so can’t realistically comment on cost. For our cost, food was above average. Selection was more than sufficient and well advertised. A good spot for adults. As we were leaving a large group arrived with a loud child which destroyed the ambiance. Fortunately we were paying the bill and departing within minutes. The noise certainly got the attention of all patrons in such a small space. The child was well mannered and did not have an “inside voice”. Staying in the hotel colocated with dining was convenient with easy to access from the rooms and street walk-ins. I will return for the standard menu on my next visit. I can’t say enough about the staff and just how much enjoyment we derived from the experience. They dealt with the noise accommodating the group quickly, no muss, no fuss. If you are near the place I would seriously consider it for at least one meal. There are so many great places in the area.

                                                The appetizers were cold and the entree was only OK. Dessert great. Server was uninterested. The place didn’t seem open. For $95 per plate this was a pretty disappointing meal on Christmas Day.
