I really don’t even know where to start - this was our 3rd time back at El Pirata and it gets better each time. The manager and his team organised a special table for us to celebrate my partner passing her law exams. The friendly welcome and service throughout were just stand out. The food speaks for itself - it’s the only place outside of Spain I’ve had an authentic paella. Overall it’s a beautiful restaurant with a lovely atmosphere, fantastic staff and food that will take you straight back to Spain. Thank you so much to the manager and his team for hitting another excellent level of special. We will be back soon - Tom and Becky

Friday evening family dinner - buzzy atmosphere, lovely food and drinks. We had tapas, cocktails and wine.

Pan con alioli : the sauce was bitter, maybe garlic was burnt. The bread was good though. Padron : it was ok, very juicy. Croquetas de pollo : very good! Super creamy inside and crispy on the outside. Gambas al pil-pil : amazing. Cooked really well and great sauce. Patatas bravas : the best dish we had. Too good for sharing. Ribeye con rucula y manchego : great taste but we asked for medium and it came medium rare. I was too hungry to take it back. The service was on point though. The staff were very efficient and friendly.

This was a first time visit and chosen based on other customer reviews. We will certainly go back again. We had the tapas menu and can highly recommend the Squid ink rice and the cod cheeks. Both were perfectly cooked and tasted fresh and well flavoured. We finished off with the Crema Catalan and that again was perfect - fresh and with a hint of lemon which made such a difference.

We have been coming to El Pirata for many years and the standard of food, service and atmosphere is as high as ever. The food is delicious and it's nice to see some new dishes every so often. The staff look after you really well and it's great to enjoy all this in a great environment.

Lovely afternoon at my favourite tapas restaurant in London - been coming since the late 1990's! Service was wonderful and attentive, helpful and smiley. Food was delicious (wish we could have sampled more dishes! But we were full!) So nice to be back.
