Wood-fired pizza, steaks and seafood cooked on the Argentine grill along with homemade pastas are the basis for our food. Our seasonal craft cocktails and Sommelier procured wine list compliment our diverse selections.
With many options we are sure you will find amazing ambiance in this historic building. You can enjoy the relaxed vibe of the Zozobra Bar or dine al fresco on our beautiful covered patio during the temperate Santa Fe summers.     We had to wait over 20 minutes for our table which was over 30 minutes because we were ten minutes early. This was for a party of three. Others who came in for the same reservation time were seated right away. When we were finally taken to our table we were taken to a back room which had very poor ambiance and was chilly compared to the other rooms. This room appeared to be an after thought. The table was sticky and not pleasant to eat from. We were told it was being refinished and reacted to the cleaning solution. The food arrived in a timely manner and was excellent. However our server never came to check on us, so we had to catch her eye when something was needed. I know this was for Thanksgiving dinner and would be busy. However; there were empty tables in a nicer part of the restaurant and the serving staff did not appear to be overworked. Having lived in the area for my 78 years and going to El Nido over these years I was extremely disappointed and embarrassed for my two guests. It will be difficult to recommend EL Nido even though the food was excellent.

    Went for the Thanksgiving prix fixe at $95 each. The appetizer was the high point. The turkey was tough, each plate got four green beans, three slices of calabacitas, and mediocre at best gravy. The two different pies were relatively flavorless including the pumpkin pie you wondered if there was pumpkin even in it. Not sure if the day to day meals there are so unexciting but pretty sure I’m not ever going to find out.

    Another great Thanksgiving Dinner at El Nido. When my wife and I are in town for Thanksgiving by ourselves, El Nido has become our go-to place. Service was well organized and very smooth. The food was first class. From a super crab cake (with just the right dash of cole slaw) to an excellent turkey dinner, which all came together with an extra helping of the red chili gravy. The pumpkin pie was great, highlighted with some candied chopped pecans. Be sure to ask for the back room if you are looking for a quieter ambience. Great job, El Nido!

    This was our 2nd Thanksgiving with El Nido, and it was just as delicious as the first! Met with friends and had a wonderful afternoon. Leslie, our server is just fabulous!

    An absolute gem the Santa Fe dining scene. Plenty of parking, staff was friendly and genuine, and the food was hearty on a cold autumn evening. The music was unique and fit the vibe. Miguel was an excellent host, and the management was present during service. Absolutely will return.

    The staff was great. Friendly, outgoing, and very knowledgeable on menu and specials. The food was amazing. Flavor combinations and portions were perfect. Appetizer of artichole hearts and spinach with gorgonzola cheese sauce was an amazing start. Steak was tender and full flavored. Gorgonzola deep fried cheese on steak was amazing. Green chile mac and cheese with bacon was delicious. Smoked bacon was delicious and unlike anything I have had before. Chicken was moist and packed with flavor. Definitely try the candied orange cheese cake and flour less chocolate cake.

    Growing up in Tesuque and my mother still lives there, it was a 5 night a week place until the infamous change. At first it was fine, a nice decent menu with a variety of options. Last night the menus was 80% alcohol. The sparse food menu was 5 salads, 4 appetizers and 6 main courses. Ok, we found something. We opted for desert and again a menu of 90% alcohol was brought. Is this a restaurant or a bar? It used to be a lively, fun filled place of laughter where yes, alcohol was enjoyed but there was plenty of food items to enjoy. So much so that we got take out 5 nights a week to the point they even gave us steak scraps for the dogs (who they knew by name) back home. Things change but this is not going to survive. TVM doesn’t have the best food but there’s a reason why people go there despite the food not being top notch. Step it up El Nido. Sorry but that’s the truth. 35 year Tesuque resident.
