This was my second attempt here. The first time, a few of us tried several different margaritas but none were very flavorful or stood out. There were a couple summer drink specials that were fantastic so I brought my partner back to give it a try today. The drinks were no where near the same quality as we recalled. He also gave the margaritas a shot with premium tequila and it was still not great. Food was okay. The dining week menu was good value overall but our other items from the regular menu were slightly disappointing. Server was friendly and atmosphere was nice but probably won't be returning.

Great value for their Downtown Dining Week special, tasty appetizer of tapenade and chips, succulent beef in the Carne Asada tacos, and surprisingly filling delicious pina colada ice cream desert. Will be back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Great food, but disappointing service My girlfriend and I visited El Jardin before a concert at Rogers Place. We made a reservation, and upon arrival, we were greeted with a wine tasting, which was a nice touch. We ordered cocktails, but they were initially taken to the wrong table before being brought to us. The cocktails were delicious, though they did take a little longer to arrive than expected. We placed our food order based on our server Abby’s recommendations. Unfortunately, our food was also sent to the wrong table first, and when it finally arrived, the cheese we added to our tacos was missing. We waited for a server to check in on us so we could mention it, but after 10 minutes, no one had come by. Since we had a concert to get to, I started eating slowly, hoping someone would check in. By this point, our drinks were empty, and we had finished eating, yet still, no one came to our table. We decided to order one last cocktail before heading to the concert. When our server finally returned, she quickly cleared the dishes and was about to walk away when I stopped her to mention the missing cheese and place another drink order. Her body language suggested she was too busy, but she took the order. It took another 17 minutes for the drinks to arrive, which cut into our timeline for the concert. To top it off, we later realized that the discount for Taco Tuesday and the 2oz liquor special wasn’t applied to our bill. By the time I noticed, we had already paid, and our server was nowhere to be found. At that point, we just decided to cut our losses and head to Rogers Place. Overall, the food was great, but the service was subpar—drinks and food went to the wrong tables, delays were consistent, and our server was largely unavailable for check-ins. It felt like the bare minimum level of service, which was disappointing considering the potential of this spot. Hoping this was just an off night, as the food and atmosphere were enjoyable.

Service was fabulous! So friendly and helpful. Food was excellent, great and unique flavours! My banana mojito was so good! I'll be back just for this refreshing but not sweet yummy-ness! The noise and music was too loud, difficult to hear each other and the wait staff. But all around great spot otherwise

Excellent food and service. The margaritas were fantastic, our server recommended a chili-lime version and it was delicious. We went before a hockey game and our server made sure we were out in time for the game. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

The server was incredible and her recommendations were all my favourites (though we ordered more than just what she recommended). The drinks were well made, and the ambiance was lovely. The food was absolutely delicious and nothing disappointed. It also came out of the kitchen relatively quickly. A very good experience, I'm looking forward to going back!
