Installé dans un ancien bâtiment de la compagnie de taxis Checker Taxi, l'El Che Bar est dirigé par John Manion. D'inspiration argentino-américaine, le restaurant représente avec amour le temps qu'il a passé à voyager en Argentine. L'établissement au cadre chaleureux et éclectique rappelle les rythmes contemporains de Buenos Aires revisités avec une approche locale. Le restaurant dégage une ambiance accueillante aux tons chauds, avec des clins d'œil subtils à l'Amérique du Sud. L'élégant bar en marbre noir contraste avec l'espace cuisine ouvert rudimentaire, où Manion cuisine des plats au feu de bois Al Asador. Des légumes locaux, des viandes grillées et des fruits de mer seront préparés sur les grills sur mesure et les plaques, dans un foyer ouvert. We have a late reservation. Terrible start as our server was not pleasant. Don’t know if he was mad we were his last table or what but all in all did not make the experience and cost worth it. Steak was ok. Scallops were good. The sides, broccolini and fries, were good as well.

Our fist time there and loved everything about it. From the food to the service. Great location as well. Drinks were top notch. I would def recommend that any and everybody experience it.

Love this restaurant! The staff was top-notch: from the host who greeted us, to the waiter and bus boys, everyone was professional, kind and attentive. Every dish we ate was delicious, as were the cocktails and dessert. The ambiance is warm and inviting, sexy even. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you !

We had a great experience at El Che for my husband’s birthday. They asked whose birthday it was upon arrival. We waited 5 minutes and was seated. Our waiter was great! Food was worth the price, we got the Porterhouse and was divine! Our sides were cooked to perfection as well. We ended the night with a birthday surprise which was ice cream with a sparkler and we also got free Argentinian cookies that were a great treat the next day. We would definitely recommend!

We love el che! We come here for special occasions. It is a nice treat for us. We do not usually eat meat but when we do, this is the place we think about. Great food. Thank you for making our special occasions extra special!

Took a friend here for her birthday. Our waiter was super nice, answered any questions we had. The ambience was nice. Overall, the food was good. We both ordered the empanadas for appetizers, 16 oz steaks, and a side of fries, and a side of broccolini. The empanadas were super good (10/10). The steak could’ve used more seasoning, but it was cooked perfectly. And the sides were super good! Then they came out with some ice cream as a bday treat. Overall, we had a good experience. I would eat here again.
