Installé dans un ancien bâtiment de la compagnie de taxis Checker Taxi, l'El Che Bar est dirigé par John Manion. D'inspiration argentino-américaine, le restaurant représente avec amour le temps qu'il a passé à voyager en Argentine. L'établissement au cadre chaleureux et éclectique rappelle les rythmes contemporains de Buenos Aires revisités avec une approche locale. Le restaurant dégage une ambiance accueillante aux tons chauds, avec des clins d'œil subtils à l'Amérique du Sud. L'élégant bar en marbre noir contraste avec l'espace cuisine ouvert rudimentaire, où Manion cuisine des plats au feu de bois Al Asador. Des légumes locaux, des viandes grillées et des fruits de mer seront préparés sur les grills sur mesure et les plaques, dans un foyer ouvert. This place was a m a z i n g beyond measures. Came out here for a date night and everything was better than expected for sure. The simple fact that my partner and I had an amazing experience I really appreciate the hospitality

Everything was good, other than the steak! Ribeye was undercooked and under seasoned with no char and fat was not rendered. Tasteless. Shame because the appetizers, sides, service and drinks were all good. Really good Somm who recommended a great Malbec.

I just felt like the service needed to be elevated for paying a price tag like we did. Our waiter did not introduce himself or give us a rundown of the restaurant, even after mentioning that this was our first time dining at El Che. I'm still not sure what they're known for, most frequently ordered items, etc. which made it tough to get excited. I'm not sure we'll be rushing to go back but the filet was outstanding. The beef tartare is up there as one of the best in the city, if you're into that. The fries are VERY salty but so god damn good - the steak that comes with the frites - not as seasoned. Wanted to check this place out after the Barstool fellas went - and we did that.

We dined at El Che for my birthday. The food, service and ambiance were top notch! We can’t wait to come again and try more of the dishes on offer.

Definitely worth the experience. EVERYTHING was great from the ambiance to the Service to the food. Julio and staff were very attentive and helpful in selecting our meals. A must return.

This restaurant was the perfect date night. It was beautiful, had delicious food and drinks, and service that was basically perfection! We adored our dinner at El Che and cannot wait to come back!
