La décoration intérieure blanche éclatante du salon et restaurant EIGHT4NINE crée un cadre minimaliste parfait pour mieux mettre en valeur les saveurs culinaires colorées du menu. Ce dernier met à l'honneur la cuisine américaine moderne de la côte Ouest axée sur la présentation et les saveurs. Le restaurant propose une cuisine soignée, subtile et savoureuse. Le chef Chuck Courtney a fait l'objet de nombreuses couvertures médiatiques de haut niveau comme Bon Appétit Magazine, le magazine Wine Spectator, le New York Times, Diablo Magazine et The Contra Costa Times. Beautiful restaurant! Great service. I just wasn’t thrilled with the lobster pasta. Not much lobster so it seemed over-priced for pasta with a tad of cream sauce. Drinks and dessert were awesome.

We have been here several times. Overall the food is good. The service is excellent, but twice now when we have a group of six, the table has been too large for comfortable conversation. The main room is too noisy when it is full. The side rooms are a little better. Tablecloths on the tables might help deaden the sound. We will return, but will need to ask to stay away from the main room and the large tables that seat eight.

Been to this restaurant several times now and it never fails to be a pleasure. The ambiance and the selection on the menu is wonderful and the presentation and the weight staff are very attentive

Wonderful dining experience. Professional and friendly waiter who never rushed us. Gorgeous ambiance in the courtyard. The food was top notch with huge portions. Got the pear salad, grilled octopus, filet mignon, salmon, and chocolate caramel cake. All were a 10/10. Perfect place for a special occasion

My appetizer arrived too soon after my cocktail. Two of 3 entrees arrived before the 3d guest was finished with his appetizer, and the other two guest appetizer plates were removed before he was done also. We dont know why we were being rushed when there were many empty tables.

Experience was lovely, restaurant is beautiful, service was impeccable! Food.....not as great. My husband's pork chop was undercooked. He never leaves meat on a plate! My lobster carbonara was WAY over salted, couldn't taste the bacon or lobster flavors as it was so salty! Dish also had been sitting after plated, long enough for sauce to have that coagulated sheen. Food was hot, pasta was yummy-----but, I sure wish the chef wasn't so heavy handed with the seasoning!!

We ordered several small plates to share instead of a main and the waiter gave great advice about which order and also paced them so they didn’t all arrive at once. The food was delicious. The octopus was so tender and tasty! The decor was very fun,too. Would highly recommend.

Excellent at Eight4Nine! We had another amazing meal with our family at Eight4Nine celebrating two milestone birthdays. We shared the cinnamon rolls with berries which was so delicious to whet our appetites. Many main courses were enjoyed by our guests and especially the Eggs Benedict and Mary's Chicken and Waffle. All dishes were cooked to perfection. Service was fantastic and the room ambiance was perfect for our party which included our two toddler grandsons. We had a special birthday dessert brought in by Yamir of Cake & Cakes which was a German Chocolate Lover's dream! Thank you to everyone who made this a very special day!
