We booked for lunch. The restaurant wasn’t open. Their website said they’d be open for Saturday lunch. OpenTable let me make the reservation. But nope. They weren’t open.

Kare kare was good but a bit tough. Peanut sauce with garlic and wine was a good combo. Soup of the day was a bit spicy and could’ve taken it down a bit. Staff was somewhat attentive. Understaffed as people were sitting themselves. Took a while to get our wine and staff’s attention. Looked like the owners / people in charge were enjoying themselves entertaining their guests at the bar.

The food at Edwin’s was a wonderful burst of flavors. The menu had an amazing fusion of southeast Asian food. Service was delightful and all the staff were super friendly, especially Dexter. He made our visit really fantastic!

A really fun place - Great food and service - we liked the Asian fusion approach with local farmer’s market ingredients! The Live music was a plus. We went with the family and really enjoyed our evening. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

Stumbled on this gem of a place. Loved meeting the Chef Dexter and enjoyed the Chef’s island basket he did for us. Being Filipino we were all impressed as all items were delicious with authentic flavor. We will definitely be back whenever we visit our family in Carmel.

Really wanted to love this place. Am Indonesian myself and have lots of Pilipino friends so I was curious about this fusion of food. Also, it is something different in Carmel (we also love our French and Italian foods but Carmel already has loads of those). The vibe was great, but unfortunately the food was super underwhelming. I ordered the Balinese fried chicken, specifically because it came with Nasi Goreng. But mine came with garlic fried rice. And yes, maybe some people won't notice the difference, but the difference is huge. Unfortunately the fried rice wasn't even done properly. It came with huge clumps of rice. It states on the menu it comes with prawn crackers, and it is literally 2 tiny pieces. My husbands meal was not much better. If you go here, I probably would order the apps only and maybe a Nasi Goreng on the side (to ensure you actually get Nasi Goreng). But personally, unless you go for the lively atmosphere (lot of people seem to be just hanging at the bar so that's an option) I would pick one of the many many other great restaurants in Carmel.

Celebrated the first night of our honeymoon at this spot. Ambiance and service was wonderful. This place is so lively and fun! Definitely recommend.
