The food is always amazing - it came out in the weirdest order last night though; we had ordered the majority of the menu and received the rice (which wasn’t done the same way it usually is) as the last dish - far too long after everything else had already been eaten. Dodgy drinks last night - a shame as the oolong cha fizz is always my go to here but whoever made it last night can’t have followed the recipe and certainly my shouldn’t have argued that we were wrong about this. The service was poor enough for it to be recognised by staff and we were grateful To have service charge removed but more than anything, I wanted to have the same amazing experience I always do here and sadly last night just didn’t cut it.

Bao buns were soggy and therefore not eaten. Despite informing the waitress, a change was incurred which was disappointing. The rest of the food was nice.

Really disappointed as the reviews were very good. Arrived and the venue only had 4 guest. We were then told the person making the cocktails was not working, so no cocktails available. We were offered the £50 tasting menu and a la carte menu, but not the early bird menu, although we arrived 6:20pm. We made our order and awaiting our meal. The starters arrived very quickly, which was ok, but not spectacular and far different from the pictures on social media. Our 2nd course was the nigiri platter. This arrived without wasabi and ginger and I had to go up to the server area to ask. The nigiri platter was not very appealing, the fish was cut very small and did not cover the rice, definitely not thick and fresh looking and covering the rice. The roll was even more bland in colour and again did not give the impression of being fresh and tasty. Our third course was the rib eye and black cod. The rib eye arrived and I waited for a few minutes before I asked the server when the rice was arriving as i prefer to have the ribeye with rice. After I was told the rice was coming. This arrived at the same time as the black cod. The cod was nice and the rice very hot, again the rib eye was so so. Service was not great and the server was not very cheerful or talkative and did not make me feel comfortable in a highly rated restaurant. I asked for he bill as I did not enjoy the experience at all. I paid the bill for £180 and promptly left. For this price, I expect a far better dining experience and felt it was definitely not money well spent. overall, there are much better restaurants for the price point and would not recommend. I would be surprised if the restaurant was still open within 12 months if it does not improve.

Bottomless menu is drink bottomless only. Food is good but noise of drunk customers is high. To be avoided.

Food was very tasty. If you want the tasting menu have to ask for that seperately which was bit strange. Courses arrived in a random order which was mainly fine but by main course one was brought 10 minutes before the others- meaning we were effectively eating at different times. The wait for the others seemed excessive considering what the dishes were. Good amount of food in the tasting menu but perhaps ordering a la carte would be better for a group.
