An upmarket neighbourhood bistro serving locally focused dishes. We are a bustling one-room restaurant with a comfy bar. Seasonal menus include P.E.I. Blue Dot rib eye steaks, local seafood, and seasonal veg.

Open for lunch service Tuesday-Friday 1130-230
Open for Supper service Tuesday-Sunday 5-10pm
Open for Brunch service Sunday 10-2 pm (beginning Jan 21)

We keep bar seating open for walk-ins each night so feel free to pop in.

Reservations recommended, walk-ins welcome but not guaranteed.

***Please note when picking a reservation time that our licence requires minors (even sweet tiny little babies) to be out of the restaurant by 10pm, sorry for the inconvenience.

We live in Ontario and come often to Halifax. We always eat at Edna's, sometimes more than once, if we can manage it. The food is consistently excellent and the service is warm and attentive and unobtrusive. thank you to Cathy, our server at our most recent dinner. We love Edna's and we are fussy eaters and fussy about service ! If we lived here, we'd be here regularly. Our daughter went to school at Kings and her favourite gift was a chance to got to Edna's for dinner !

I’ve never had a bad experience at Edna and always look forward to dining there. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday and everyone made it so special. Our apps, meals, drinks, and service were exceptional!! Can’t wait to dine there again soon!

I was in Halifax for a conference and needed to set up a business dinner. I found Edna from online reviews and it was walkable from my hotel. It didn't disappoint! The food, drinks, and service were all great! All staff were very friendly and welcoming. They had a great appetizer special of a clam arancini rice ball that was fantastic. I would highly recommend the next time you're in Halifax!

My mom and I enjoyed a wonderful brunch. Shared blueberry scones, eggs Benny special and a delicious side of bacon. Service was professional and friendly… some of the best service in the city.

Good food and great service. We had a wonderful dinner and the attentive service really stood out. The baked oysters were lovely as well as the entrees. Wine list could use some expanding

Three of us took my father for a Father’s Day dinner. The service was wonderful, the food was impeccable, and once again I was reminded why Edna’s is the restaurant to which I compare all other restaurants to.

We had a lovely meal. Service was knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. Nice selection of wines by the glass, and fairly priced.
