This place has become one of my favorites and go-to spots in Santa Monica. The food is outstanding and the service is top notch.

The place is nice, there’s a really great ambiance, good music at a the right level, good to great cocktails at reasonable prices (especially for this city), and the service is friendly and attentive, so that’s a really strong start and we were excited for our meal. Unfortunately, the food was pretty lackluster, mid at best. Lacked seasoning, acidity, and just plain flavor. Would return for drinks but doubt we’d want to go back for a meal. Disappointing.

Shrimp toast, long beans and wontons were excellent. Red shrimp curry and baby gem salad also great. Our server Courtney made the night even better.

Great neighborhood place on Main Street in Santa Monica in the old Rockenwagner building. Food and ambience was top-notch. Service excellent. I would not call this light fare, but interesting mix of American, Asian, and European. The tempura oysters, cheeseburger, and wanton dumplings were standouts.

this was our first time there, and it is a beautiful room. Our waitress was lovely and perfectly accommodating. Every dish we had was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Wow. What an insane evening. Took forever for someone to come to the table to for starters. We ordered the $52 Lobster Fried Rice. Except it showed up with ZERO lobster in it. We called our server over and he took it back to speak with the chef. When he came back he informed us it was, "a human error, we're very sorry, can we remake it?" But two minutes later the manager came to the table next to ours and told them, "I have bad news: the Lobster Fried Rice is not available. We have no lobster." So why it was even offered to us in the first place is a mystery. We had them replace it with the Shrimp Curry which was like eating a curry saline solution - insanely salty. Had high hopes for this place but it's a definite no. Staff was gracious, but ....

An absolutely lovely, awesome experience. We went for the tail end of brunch (2:30) (me, my wife and my 11-year-old-daughter) and we were just blown away by ALL aspects of the restaurant. Every server/host was gracious, knowledgeable... and struck the perfect balance between service visits and "giving us our space while eating." The variety of food options was excellent, and every item we tried was delicious without being heavy; uniquely tasty; and the portions were perfect. Overall ambience was inviting, warm and friendly; and as the place began to fill up, the buzz of noise wasn't too much, as the acoustics of the facility allowed for every "hub" to have its own clear conversations. We took the time to speak with a few of the other patrons, and were told that an evening booking would be just as fun, with a very different (chill, magical) atmosphere. That's what we'll be doing next! Just a great venue, great food, GREAT service. Bravo, Edgemar!
