Eden’s ever-evolving brunch, lunch, dinner and beverage menus focus on the use of high-quality and seasonal ingredients, with an approach based on simplifying the process that goes into crafting each dish. This focus produces robust, clean flavors to compliment the flowers and herbs from our on-site greenhouse that also add beauty to each dish. Our 20’ x 28’ greenhouse allows us to grow all year, reduce our carbon footprint by sourcing on-site, and it helps the local ecosystem by attracting pollinators. Our sustainability efforts also include composting organic material left over during food preparation.

Free Parking is available and easily accessible in the private lot across the street from the restaurant.

My visit to Eden in Chicago left me underwhelmed, particularly as someone who appreciates authentic, farm-to-table dining experiences. When a restaurant emphasizes its commitment to quality ingredients, I expect consistency and an unwavering dedication to excellence. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. The orange juice was not freshly squeezed, and the eggs seemed lackluster, lacking the rich flavor I associate with higher-quality sources. Additionally, the use of Monin syrups was disappointing; while convenient, these syrups don’t match the depth and freshness of house-made alternatives. Crafting your own syrups not only elevates beverages but also reflects a deeper connection to seasonal, local ingredients that enhance the entire dining experience. The water service also raised questions. In an era where quality water is essential to both taste and health, I was surprised to find only tap water offered. Investing in a filter system would show a commitment to the high standards one expects from a farm-to-table restaurant and would significantly enhance the dining experience. The ambiance also fell short of expectations. I was hoping for a warm, inviting atmosphere that mirrored the essence of a true farm-to-table establishment. Instead, the vibe felt impersonal, missing that cozy touch of genuine hospitality. While Eden has potential, there are key areas where it could improve to align better with its mission and the expectations of patrons who cherish fresh, thoughtfully prepared meals.

We chose Eden because of a Condé Nast article that put it into the top 29 restaurants in Chicago. Front of house and waitstaff were exceptional. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the hype. It was mostly very good but not memorable. Red Crab bucatini lacked balance and compatible flavor profiles. The hamachi crudo was so salty we had to send it back. The 2nd version was much better and properly balanced. Brussels Sprouts and Carrots were on point and stood out from the rest. Quality of meat in the burger was very good. Gnocchi was interesting but not memorable. Dessert course was excellent. Overall, a respectable restaurant that will need to step it up a notch in order to compete with the top tier.

I hesitate to let everyone know how fabulous Eden is, but that's a bit selfish. EVERYTHING on the menu (and our group ordered a lot of different items) was perfectly cooked, creative and layered with flavor. The service, as always was outstanding, the cocktails were delicious and everyone seems committed to making sure you enjoy the evening (or lunch or brunch).

Eden is a beautiful space. It's open with loads of windows, though a little loud due to the acoustics. We were seated right away for our reservation, and our server was great. My friend got the mushroom stracci and I got the roasted squash on harissa sauce. Both were amazing! The flavors in the squash were so amazing-- the harissa was so flavorful, the cucumber salad so fresh, and combinations so unique. It made me want to come back every month to find out what's on the menu. They only fell short on dessert. The creme brulee tart was fine. Sadly, it was not custard-y, and served with a tart apple sorbet that, while delicious, didn't really complement the tart. I'd probably skip dessert altogether next time. Looking forward to my next meal there!

Dinner for 4 with shared small plates to start - delicious. Entrees were inventive and flavorful. Great cocktails and wine selection. Best of all you can dine with carnivores and vegetarians- they are equally happy. That is a bonus!

I ordered an old fashioned... he suggested their signature old fashioned... I agreed. I did not like it and asked for a normal old fashioned... the waiter was nice enough to tell me that the likely reasons for not liking the first one is that they only have a certain type of bitters... very aromatic and so that was nice of him to tell me. My problem is that when I asked for a different type of mayo (plain vs black garlic)... I was told that "the chef doesn't like to change anything since the it is a award winning burger" Come on... I understand having principles... but both "Issues" above just seem to show that this is not the type of place that I would look forward to returning to.

Terrible service and the worst bloody mary's I've ever had. For the bloody mary's, the menu noted they came with a lime, olive and cheddar. Ours all came with just a lime. When we noted that to the server, we were told "we've never done them that way", only to point out the menu to him. In fairness, the bill was reduced but it did not make up for the really poor service. Not sure I'll be back.
