Now well into our third decade in business, Eddington’s attributes the restaurant’s success to creating flavorful and creative meals consistently using the best of Huron County’s bounty.
Owner James Eddington states “we are so blessed to be living in such an agriculturally rich area of the world”.
Although the local food movement is really starting to take off, it has always been the driving force in Eddington’s kitchen. A menu that changes frequently, as each season inspires the delicacies our region has to offer.
Eddington’s occupies the original Carling homestead (built in the 1870’s). After two major renovations, an addition of the a new dining room and a serene outdoor backyard summer patio, the restaurant has a clean and modern look while maintaining its traditional and warm feel.

    This has become one of our most favourite spots for dining out. The food and service are always fantastic. One of the nicest, if not the nicest patio in the area.

    The food was amazing but the service was frustratingly slow. We waited for 1.5 hrs for our main course. Apologies were made but ordering an appetizer should not be the reason our main course was so delayed. It was our first time there and we will need to think seriously about whether the delicious food and wonderful patio will bring us back.

    I would recommend Eddington’s for any special occasion. The staff all seemed happy, the food and service were excellent and the patio lovely.

    Fresh pickerel was incredible. Burgers and apps were incredible too. Staff super friendly and the value was amazing

    Fabulous food, as always. Our table had the burger and the bacon & potato pizza, and both were absolutely delicious. Service was great. Live music made for a nice ambience. There is a very nice new addition with accessible washrooms which can be accessed from both indoors and the patio. Overall 10/10.

    We both tried the summer salmon feature which was great. My husband had the sticky toffee dessert which was delicious.

    Always a great dining experience. Love the food, the staff and the patio. James always comes out to greet us on every visit.
