Now well into our third decade in business, Eddington’s attributes the restaurant’s success to creating flavorful and creative meals consistently using the best of Huron County’s bounty.
Owner James Eddington states “we are so blessed to be living in such an agriculturally rich area of the world”.
Although the local food movement is really starting to take off, it has always been the driving force in Eddington’s kitchen. A menu that changes frequently, as each season inspires the delicacies our region has to offer.
Eddington’s occupies the original Carling homestead (built in the 1870’s). After two major renovations, an addition of the a new dining room and a serene outdoor backyard summer patio, the restaurant has a clean and modern look while maintaining its traditional and warm feel.

    Very nice restaurant and the service was nice , food really good but very gourmet and expensive . I am desapointed because the waiter gave us the bill without us asking for it and sent us away offering the chairs at the bar , what about if we want to stay more time and ask for more drinks ? We couldn’t enjoy the live music … I don’t know if we come back

    We made reservations for a table indoors at Eddington’s of Exeter. When we arrived there was live music offered on the patio so we asked if possible could we enjoy dinner on the patio. The owner was very accommodating. The service was excellent . My wife was even given a blanket as the evening temperature chilled on the patio. We were a party of 3 and the Hamburger with Caesar Salad, Seasonal Salad with Shrimp and Chicken entree were all exceptional. The featured whiskey cocktail with honey was very refreshing. We will definitely recommend this restaurant in the future and hope to visit again when we are passing through Exeter.

    Amazing as always!! Love coming here and sitting on the beautiful patio, the food, staff/service and ambiance is always so good, and live music is a bonus, always great performers! Such a great spot to have in our town 😊
