Eddie V's Prime Seafood is a luxury dining destination known for the seafood flown in from pristine waters around the world, as well as its premium hand-carved steaks. Dishes are artistically prepared and feature an ever-changing array of seasonal seafood, along with critically acclaimed prime center-cut steaks broiled to perfection. The restaurant's award-wining wine list, which has been recognized by Wine Spectator, has more than 300 wines curated by Eddie V's very own Advanced Sommelier. In the past I have given Eddie V several 5 star reviews. NOT LAST NIGHT! First it started with ordering, my daughter ordered steak and lobster tail. About 15 min later we were told the 5oz tails were gone - did she want to order a 7oz tail for more money. Smells like UPSELLING of an already expensive entry. When our salads arrived there was the "who ordered what game" as the food servers had no idea. That may be OK in a fast food restaurant but not at a high priced establishment. When our entries arrived it was the same who ordered what game except some of the entries were not even for our table! They had to be taken away and replaced. Then after dinner a couple of us ordered coffee and decafe coffee to go with our deserts. My decafe coffee arrived only warm at best and tasted bitter. The regular coffee was cold too. Clearly, the dregs of pots that had been turned off sometime prior. These items were not fit to drink and should NEVER have been served. When we complained, we were only offered Cafe Americana. That's what happens a Starbucks they do not have decafe ready. It was fairly early in the evening. I would think Eddie V would still have decafe -- there service should be better than Starbucks. Last night they were not as good. The final screw-up. As we entered my wife gave the manager at the front desk a credit card and asked the meal be charged on it. When the bill came it was dropped in the center of the table with no card. It was not presented to my wife as it should have been. Again, we had to complain to our waiter who then went away and returned a few minutes later with the card and bill together. One more thing, when I made the reservation, I noted it was a birthday celebration, mine. The waiter never asked about it nor was there any recognition by the restaurant staff. Looking back, the bad service started the instant we entered and lasted through out the meal. The service system failed multiple times in multiple ways.

Food was excellent, exceeded our expectations with very prompt and friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

Completely wowed by the Wagyu New York. The steak is so buttery you will not be in need of a toothpick. Tony’s service was warm and professional, very accommodating on every level. I couldn’t have asked for a better night out, especially for my girlfriend’s birthday. To top it off, the Bananas Foster for dessert was as decadent as it gets! Thank you, we will be back shortly!

This was our first time at Eddie V’s in Palm Desert. We have been to EV’s in Scottsdale and LaJolla and have always had a great experience. We went on a Saturday night and the restaurant was busy. Service was slow, food came out slow, and no real attention to detail. The waiter did recognize the food was slow to come out and asked if we wanted a complimentary calamari (declined). Water was not refilled and no wet cloth was provided at the end of the meal, although other tables were offered.

This was our second time at the restaurant. Our server was James. He was very nice professional and attentive!!! The food was very good! I had steak tartare prepared at the table. It was delicious. My husband had Steak Oscar and it was outstanding!

Our meal at Eddie V’s is always outstanding. Rudy manages this place better than any Eddie V’s I’ve been to, and I’ve been to several. We started with warmed bread with butter and crab cakes (which are the best I’ve ever tasted), filet Mignon and scallops. Our guests had lamb chops and oysters on the half shell. Our sides were asparagus, mushrooms and lobster mashed potatoes. I kid you not every morsel was perfect. We concluded our meal with a desert presentation of butter cake flambé. Another fabulous meal at Eddie V’s Palm Desert. Thanks again Rudy!

We have always had a good experience at this location. Good service, good food, and live jazz combo starts at 6 PM. Happy Hour is also a plus.
