Sunday is date night for my husband and I. Eddie Vs always amazes us, from the time i walk into the resturant til i leave. Every Sunday evening you will find us at Eddie Vs unless we are away.

Our Saturday night we dined in the downstairs dining room. It was quaint and our waiter was Christopher. If you have ever had Christopher to wait on you, you will know his service is barre none when it comes to fine dining. He gave us the best service; he was personable and catered to our every need, especially my difficult dietary needs. There were (5) in our party and it was just our family. The dining room afforded us privacy, and it felt as though we were dining alone, very quaint, yet there was nice music in the backdrop, and we were able to converse and enjoy our evening with delicious food. It was a lovely experience as always. Eddie Vs never disappoints. It's our favorite go to restaurant in Charlotte. If you are looking for great food, ambiance and excellent service they will exceed your dining expectations.

Our first time to Eddie V’s, this was to celebrate my birthday. My wife and I worked in restaurants and have who do so now, we were so amazed at every aspect of our dining experience. We had an early dinner on a Saturday and the restaurant’s vibe evolved during our meal. We sat in the upper section near one of the smaller private rooms. The teamwork demonstrated by literally everyone working that night was amazing to watch. This is a good-sized restaurant with a bar, multiple dining levels, private rooms, and everything flowed seamlessly. We met three of the managers, at different times, Graham, Chad and James, all of whom turned tables, greeted guests, seated guests, poured wine, ran food, etc. All of the staff were very aware of what was going on around them and quickly, and calmly stepped in to help one another, and in such a way that the two of us felt like we had our own team for just our meal. The last time we felt this way was our meal in the main dining room in the Hotel du Pont, when we actually had a team throughout our meal. Jill set the stage with rose petals and a card on our table and our culinary guide was Jacqui who helped us navigate each phase of the meal. A live Jazz band started their first set in the bar area towards the end of our time at Eddie V’s and that raised the bar, too. We had to go, though, but we will be back, soon, and will definitely bring family and friends in the future. P.S. I highly recommend the ‘reserve wine by the glass’ section on the wine list. It is a great way to try a new vintage of a wine you know or one you’ve never heard of. Every wine palate can find a choice that they will enjoy and appreciate.

Always good food, be prepared to spend a few hundred if you do wine/cocktails but we always look forward to it as a treat-ya-self moment.

" — Esteemed memoirist & poet, Maya Angelou ATTN : All [ future ] patrons ; On September 11th, at Eddie V's Prime Seafood [ Charlotte, NC ] ), I experienced my worst birthday ever ; on what most Americans consider the most significant in their lives : my 21st. At the very young age of 21; I’ve lived in South Korea, California, Georgia, Maryland, Virginia, New York, Arizona, and ( now ) North Carolina. In all those places, [ never ] have I felt so, embarrassingly, ridiculed, condescended, and disrespected. My mother and our, family, doctor took me out to dine — on my, special, day / night. We were “ served ” by a woman ( approx. 25 - 30 years of age ) who looked to have had her lips augmented with some type of protein filler. I will just say that this woman’s, overall, disposition screamed poster child for rude. It was if she is, naturally, condescending — and, painstakingly, was compelled to etch a pleasant face and exhibit civility. Our, older-age, doctor made no effort to hide his displeasure — every time this woman left our table. On top of all that, the woman, coldly, tossed a birthday envelope on our table : no warm “ happy birthday, ” no singing, no complementary dessert — only, the frozen treatment. Interestingly ; she gave no introduction — and at the end of the night, had the audacity to be disgruntled about the tip that she received from us ( which, based upon her conduct, was too much ). This is 2024 ; A Space Odyssey : her treatment had better well not been, in part, due to my skin tone. Per Wikipedia ; this restaurant is considered a “ Fine Dining ” establishment. Reviewers and customers [ must have ] been considering the cuisine — only ; as there was, absolutely, nothing “ fine ” about our experience, there. I’ve posted this to remind — all : “ If you knew better, you’d do better.”

The live music was outstanding for a Monday! This particular band plays mostly on Mondays and Tuesdays. The Caesar salad was nice with the olive tapenade on the side, which was a unique twist. The lump crab cake is always delicious and my favorite dish. The Chilean Seabass was mild in flavor, but buttery and the crab fried rice is always a winner.

Hands down 12 out of 10! We loved our waiter, the food was divine, cocktails were perfect and dessert was the outstanding end to a wonderful evening!
