We dined at the FW Eddie Merlot's on Sunday, January 19. The food was good, but service was frustratingly poor. After we ordered our meals and served our salads, our server was socializing for more than 10 minutes with guests at another table who just finished their meals. We had ordered bread rolls and these were not served. At no point of time did our server, who was about 10 feet from our table look over and check in. We finally managed to mention this issue to a bus boy, who came to our table with our main entrees. We were served bread after our salads were almost done and when our main entrees were served. Our server continued to chat with the other guests at the table. The guests and the server all had their cell phones out, exchanging social media profiles and commenting on artwork. We asked for the manager, who came to our table. We mentioned the issue with our service and the GM said this service gap was not acceptable and that we would get a new server. During the discussion with the GM, our original server continued to have a conversation with the guests at the other table. Our new server introduced herself and asked if we were interested in dessert. This was frustrating as we ordered the "Savor Fort Wayne" menu. We had given our preferences for the starter, main, and dessert to our original server. While enjoying our main entrees, we were surprised to see our desserts. We had not finished our main entrees and our desserts were already placed on the table. Service was very rushed and we felt that the restaurant wanted us "out" given the fast pace of service. The restaurant was not busy and it was 8 pm. The restaurant is open until 9 pm, so we were surprised about the hurried service that we receive. Also frustrating was that the GM DID NOT CHECK IN with us after the lapse in service and the change in servers to ask if service had improved or if we had any comments or concerns. The food was good, but the service substantially subpar.

Terrible service during Savor FtWayne. Didn’t get seated until 45 minutes after our reservation. Waited another 27 minutes at the table before anyone greeted us or took drink orders. Waited another 39 minutes before appetizer order was taken. Didn’t get dinner until 2 hours after we were seated. Food was good. Crab cakes and carrot cakes were delicious. We usually love this restaurant but won’t ever go again during Savor Ft Wayne.

Our soup, Caesar, and entrees were prepared excellently. The peanut butter cup was phenomenal. We highly recommend Chelsea as a server. She is kind, attentive, and made our experience memorable.

What a hopping place! A wonderful Savor Fort Wayne menu that was outstanding. Kristina is always the best wait staff. But I think her assistant Tyler was making her look good! 💛

Server/waitress and atmosphere were great. Pre food cocktails and wine with dinner were good. The dinner took awhile to get to us but we told them we were not in a hurry and they were busy so that was fine. We were disappointed in the lobster mac and cheese. It was not creamy, but rather granular and pasty. The Crème Brule' was thick and dried out. Steak was cooked as ordered and the coffee after the meal was nice and hot.

We were three friends dining together and catching up. We were seated with the fireplace on one side and windows opposite of the table which was wonderful. The food was excellent and the young waitress, Mindy, was friendly and helpful. I would have liked a 4 oz. filet with a side but the only options offered came with seafood and I have an allergy that prevented that as my entree. Perhaps that could be a menu option in the future.

Bailee gave us great service. She brought our usual beverages out right after we were seated. Another server, Misty had let her know what we drink. Our ahi tuna and New Orleans mixed grill were delicious. We were celebrating my birthday so we took carrot cake home to eat later. It was wonderful.
