We drive from Dayton just for Eddie Merlot’s! Jay was an excellent server! Witty, attentive, helpful. The sea bass was a tiny bit overcooked, but the flavor was great. We were a party of 5. The Wedge Salad was sensational. The quality of the ahi used for the Ahi Wontons was sashimi grade with know tenuous pieces. The beef was great and the Chicken Breast was outstanding. The price point is what you would expect from a high quality steakhouse. Dinner for 5 with tip and alcohol was slightly north of $500, but worth the money and worth the drive.

Everything about this place is fabulous! The food, the service, the atmosphere, even the artwork all fabulous! Well worth the expense for the service!

I always enjoy dining at Eddie Merlots. Food is great and he service is wonderful. Servers are always attentive and friendly. Plus, cocktails' are terrific!

From the hostess greeting us and sitting us right away, to the server and the manager, everyone we came in contact was professional and courteous. The food was amazing! The bartender even made me a mocktail to enjoy. Since it was out anniversary, we got a dessert on the house. :) Highly recommend!

We were early for our 6:30 reservations so we went to the bar for cocktails after checking in with the nice matre’d. We were celebrating an anniversary. The bartender was very good and so were the cocktails. We were seated in a booth. Dave was our server and greeted us and explained the special. He gave us time to enjoy our cocktails and then took our orders. There were 2 couples. Our salads were brought out rather quickly. The salads were generous and excellent. Dave removed the dishes from the table as we waited for our entree. It seemed like our entrees took a while to come out…not sure why. I ordered the filet Del Mar and my husband the New Orleans mixed grill. Each entree was nicely plated, however, my filet and shrimp were room temperature. My husband’s shrimp and sausage were barely warm. The filets were cooked as ordered. We’ve never had this problem before. By the time someone came around to check we had already started to eat our food and didn’t want to wait any longer to reheat/replace the food. We completed our meal with some desserts and coffee which was delicious. The service was very good as far as the service…we were just disappointed in the temperature of the food. Dave was delightful and a great waiter. I enjoy food that is hot when delivered to the table and being a special meal…I have to say it dampened the occasion as we had chosen Eddie Merlots for our friends to join us for dinner.

We sat in the bar area. It was our family 2 adults 2 teens. We do not eat out often and when we do it’s typically not high end. Most of the food was good, but my teenager’s steak was not able to be cooked to the preferred temperature. I assume we should have ordered a different cut of meat, but either way well was not accomplished. The other dishes were very good. As for the service and atmosphere, we were disappointed, but not impressed. The bar tables were all seated, but there were definitely plenty of “regulars” and the server clearly gave them more attention. Overall we were pleased, but some of the details were missing
