With Echo & Rig Chef Sam Marvin has introduced a pioneering new concept transforming the long-held theories behind the steakhouse formula.

We put a unique nose-to-tail spin on the traditional steakhouse, allowing diners to indulge in the best cuts of meat for incredibly approachable prices.

A butcher before a steakhouse, we use every part of the animal. We care about every animal - how it lived, what it ate, and how it was cared for.

Our 7,000 square foot space is located in the Downtown Commons Neighborhood (DOCO) in the lobby of The Sawyer Hotel. Situated on the bustling J Street corridor facing the Golden 1 Center main entrance.

We have a versatile space: a private dining room with audio/visual capability, an outdoor patio, and an outdoor bar available for rent.

The waiter gave an excellent presentation of the menus, an explanation of the dining options, and details about what makes the entrees special at this restaurant. Staff are very attentive and offer personal and customer recommendations. I appreciated how each member of our group was treated as an individual customer. We never felt like we had to wait to have a need fulfilled. Overall 3/5 steaks were cooked as expected (the prime rib was fantastic), but two of our Spencer steaks were over-charred. We were offered replacements but we declined. The side dishes were delicious and could be shared by 2-3 persons. The cocktails were strong with no complaints from us and the wine was as expected. We gave the staff a 1-week advance heads-up about our special occasion and the table received a verbal announcement/recognition from staff, a free side, and a free bowl of ice cream. I can't wait to go back.

As always, the drinks are amazing and the food delicious. The portobello mushroom fries are to die for and the steaks melt in your mouth.

This was the best bday dinner for my husband. Our server, Eric, was fantastic, he went over and beyond to make sure our dinner was perfect and it was. Food was delish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, Chad, who cleared our dishes, was outstanding as well, he was friendly, polite and served us extremely well. We wish every server we have is like Eric!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The best, polite, friendly, efficient and so courteous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Perfect bday and evening.

Everything was great, absolutely excellent. But it is so popular, relaxed, and comfortable that the patrons conversation volume level was above normal, making it a challenge to chat with my friends. Never the less, I love this place and will return .

LOVED our experience! Staff were incredible and food was excellent. They took our dietary needs and remained thoughtful of them the whole experience. We weren’t rushed and encouraged to try different things. We will be back!

Service was good once we had it. Was delayed. Ambiance isn’t really that great. Fluorescent lighting and a sterile feel. Steak was alright, tasted a little burned.
