With Echo & Rig Chef Sam Marvin has introduced a pioneering new concept transforming the long-held theories behind the steakhouse formula.

We put a unique nose-to-tail spin on the traditional steakhouse, allowing diners to indulge in the best cuts of meat for incredibly approachable prices.

A butcher before a steakhouse, we use every part of the animal. We care about every animal - how it lived, what it ate, and how it was cared for.

Our 7,000 square foot space is located in the Downtown Commons Neighborhood (DOCO) in the lobby of The Sawyer Hotel. Situated on the bustling J Street corridor facing the Golden 1 Center main entrance.

We have a versatile space: a private dining room with audio/visual capability, an outdoor patio, and an outdoor bar available for rent.

We care about every animal - how it lived, what it ate, and how it was cared for. Our nose-to-tail approach allows diners to indulge in the best cuts of meat for incredibly approachable prices. We offer a robust menu of entrees, steaks, vegetables, and sides.

Echo & Rig is a brand new steakhouse opening in the Downtown Commons Neighborhood (DOCO) in Sacramento. Situated on the bustling J Street corridor, we proudly share courtyard space with the Golden 1 Center. Originally opened in Las Vegas, Echo & Rig is touted as “The Best Group Dining Experience in Las Vegas”. We are truly a cut above the rest and a top choice for corporate and social entertaining. We have a versatile space: a private dining room with audio/visual capability, an outdoor patio, and an outdoor bar available for rent; we provide in-house food and bar service; and production and styling options. Our central downtown Sacramento location makes it an accessible and practical space for Sacramento business meetings, happy hours, and holiday parties. We are less than a half mile away from the 7th and I County Center Light Rail Station and blocks away from numerous transit lines.

We were a large party of 9 there to celebrate a birthday. We were treated so very well by the entire staff. They were generous with us from start to finish. We were gifted extra apps to try and they accommodated food restrictions with zero problems. Steaks were cooked to perfection for each person- all as specified. Salads and sides were delicious but the favorite surprise were those darn portobello fries! YUM Atmosphere was festive and busy but not too loud. Very fun evening for all.

Went to a nice restaurant for our last day of vacation. Service was slow. I don’t blame the waiter because every time I looked up he was walking extremely fast. Too many tables to wait on. Food was not good, very bland . They were very friendly and nice . Maybe next time we are in Sacramento I will try them one more time because everyone deserves a second chance .

Our waitress Isa was great! The food was delicious and no corkage fee for wine.

Echo & Rig Steakhouse & Butcher always provides the best service. I am always greater with a smile and conversation with the manager. The food is exceptional, the macaroni and cheese's rich, creamy, and bold flavor is heaven on a plate. Pairs well with chardonnay or Pinot Grigio. Last but not least you must finish your meal with blackberry and peach sorbet. Thank you for the extraordinary experience!!

Amazing service, waiters were very attentive and accommodating. Cannot stress that enough. Appetizers: Had the Bone marrow & brussel sprouts. Loved the flavor of the sprouts, highly recommend. Bone marrow had too much going on to enjoy, but did appreciate the citrus they added. Entree: Ordered the Ribeye Cap and was a little disappointed. Though it perfectly medium rare on the inside, the outside was burnt and ashy. So, even if I enjoyed it overall, had to kind of wash it down. Potato chips and mushroom sides were good though made me feel like this would likely be a better place for a sandwich than a proper steak. Unsure if you could substitute the sides at all. Did not order dessert.

My wife and I decided to each have a salad and a bowl of soup. Both were excellent. Then we each had a sandwich which were huge and delicious! We could have split a sandwich but now we have leftovers for either lunch or dinner tonight! The service was excellent as well. So, for a very nice dinner i don't think you can do better in Sacramento!

We had an amazing experience here. First of all, the service was impeccable. I felt like I was dining out at a Michelin star restaurant. The servers were so engaging and thoughtful, Anthony was incredible as well as JAHE. The food was top-notch - 10 out of 10 recommend anybody thinking about dining here to definitely come enjoy!

The extremely high-level of service and amazing attention to detail with the food make this restaurant one of the best in town. Our only complaint was the bright sun shining in our eyes. The restaurant definitely needs to invest in motorized Shades. And $80 to park our car was ridiculous. The restaurant needs to negotiate something with the hotel or others like ourselves might have to look for other places to eat.
