Fantastic food, great service, good vibes. We were served a lot more food than we expected, so many more things to try later at a return visit.

The service, food, drinks, and ambiance here are all excellent. In particular, I appreciated how accommodating the staff was with hosting a group I brought of 15-20 colleagues, including rearranging tables so we could all sit together and offering both individual and group ordering options. I also saw a number of dishes on the menu that I've not seen at other Ethiopian restaurants I've visited previously, which makes for an even more engaging dining and cultural experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This was my first time experiencing Ethiopian cuisine and I was immediately hooked. This is a perfect destination for a romantic date. The host is amazing and shares interesting facts and sings. The servers are pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable. The owner came out to great everyone as well. I will be here every time I am in DC.

One of the best Ethiopian restaurants in the country. Took people that tried it for the first time and couldn’t have hoped for a better place! The host was also very funny and entertaining

Food was fantastic and a great value. Service was phenomenal, wait staff helped pick a variety of dishes and saved us from ordering too much food.

Our server was great. Made helpful suggestions and explained various dishes. When she learned one of our friends was gluten free, she provided alternative injera that was yummy. Food was excellent. It’s not inexpensive but worth it. We would return.

Before attending a show at the Lincoln Theatre, we decided to dine beforehand. Knowing there are multiple Ethiopian restaurants in the area, we wanted to try one that we hadn't been to before. Eatopia is relatively new and I'm so glad we gave it a try! The restaurant is spacious and the setting has a nice vibe to it with windows facing U Street. There were two of us, so we opted for the Digis Ultimate Communal Platter, which the menu states is good for two people. WOW.. when our server brought the platter, we were amazed at the variety of food that was included. It could have fed three or four people, the portions were so generous. Everything on the platter was so flavorful and delicious! Our server, who was wonderful, even offered more if we wanted, but we certainly had all we could eat and only requested more injera to enjoy with our platter. I can't wait to go back and I highly recommend Eatopia to any fan of Ethiopian food, or anyone wanting to expand their palate and give it a try. I've had Ethiopian cuisine on several occasions and this was the best thus far!
