Le Eating House 1849 rend hommage au patrimoine culinaire animé de Hawaii avec un clin d'œil aux restaurateurs tels que Peter Fernandez qui, selon ce qu'on raconte, a ouvert un des premiers restaurants à Hawaii vers le milieu des années 1800s, l'appela The Eating House et puisait ses ressources de ce que pouvaient lui offrir les agriculteurs, les éleveurs, les glaneurs et les pêcheurs locaux.     We had the ribs, boa bun with pork belly, burger, and brussel sprouts! The boa bun with pork belly, burger, and ribs was delicious! Would order it again! As for the brussel sprouts, it was ok.

    Promptly sat us down at reservation time. Was my wife's birthday and everyone acknowledged it. Food selection was good and very tasteful.

    We had booked this reservation for Valentine’s Day 3 months in advance…confirmed 2-3 times via email & text. Our table was an “open air table for 2” on Open Table. When we arrived they tried to put us at the bar. I showed them the reservation on my Open Table app, and then they found us a table over by the bathroom next to their shared table area. There were plenty of tables available in their main dining “open air table area” when we arrived. Our waitress was very new, didn’t check back for drinks, forgot my wife’s wine order, etc. Food was great as always, but not a great experience for Valentine’s Day.

    It was a wonderful dinner, food was great, service great until the very end when we were asked how much longer we would be. We were only there for hour 1/2. We spent close to $400. Also they had over 10 open tables. If you want a nice leisure dinner choose somewhere else. It was a sad ending to a great evening.

    Valentine Special (Crispy Red Snapper and Red Velvet dessert) at the Eating House was outstanding. A great start to my Hawaii vacation.

    The service was great and the ambience was perfect for an upper and local restaurant. Live music made it perfect. Would definitely go there again for special occasions.

    Had a perfect family dinner at Waikiki. All foods were delicious, staffs were kind, atmosphere and interior were also great. I will strongly recommend to my friends who will trip Waikiki.

    Good spot, good food and service. It’s in the middle of the shopping mall. Good for casual lunch or dinner.

    Our waitress and other servers were excellent. Very helpful explaining the menu and attentive through our meal. The food was great, starting with the grilled Brussel sprouts. We all had really creative fish dishes as entrees. I had a seafood paella which was different and delicious. Wednesday was half price wine day. 50% off a Neyers $80 bottle was the topper !
