Le Eating House 1849 rend hommage au patrimoine culinaire animé de Hawaii avec un clin d'œil aux restaurateurs tels que Peter Fernandez qui, selon ce qu'on raconte, a ouvert un des premiers restaurants à Hawaii vers le milieu des années 1800s, l'appela The Eating House et puisait ses ressources de ce que pouvaient lui offrir les agriculteurs, les éleveurs, les glaneurs et les pêcheurs locaux. The standards of this restaurant are superior. If you have gone here and did not have an enjoyable experience, I dare say then it wasn't them, it was you. ;) Seriously, every single staff member is competent, informed, genuine and experienced. It is truly one of the few places I can go and let them take the driver's seat. I never have to look for a server, because they are attentive, yet do not hover; they seemlessly flow in and out of the pace of the meal. The food is always consistently good; beautifully plated, quality ingredients. I think most of us are feeling the pinch with prices going up all around us, but it stings a lot less when you have a fantastic dining experience with a price point that reflects their value. I particularly appreciate that you can ask your server any question about menu items, and your server will not say "Uh, I dunno, I'll go ask for you." No...they all do their prep - they know their menu inside out. There is a lanai area that is covered with a removal roof, as well as umbrella tables. There is a closed area as well for those who need cooler temperatures. The lanai seating's perimeter is a low wall with plants, which allow for privacy but also for peeking out to people watch. Validated parking. My neighborhood gem!

We had fish as main dish, kampachi and hamachi cooked the way we chose and accompanied with our own choice of side dishes. They were very tasty. nwe enjoyed the food and the Manua honey mead wine. The waitresses were very kind and friendly. We recommend the restaurant wholeheartedly/

This has become my favorite place on island. Plenty of validated parking. Great happy hour prices without loosing quality. The wait staff is attentive but not smothering. Most importantly, I’ve never had a bad dish here.

Unusual location at the top of a mall; but, it works. Great food. I don't know if "Wine Down Wednesday's" is a regular thing but do take advantage of 50% off on full bottles.
