We had a reservation for 2 for an early dinner, Sunday evening, the 4th day of being opened. This was a highly anticipated opening, it should have been packed with people. The restaurant was nearly empty. They were turning people away if they didn't have a reservation. I thought we were very lucky!! I was very wrong. Unfortunately, the review that I wrote is too long to fit here, so I'll just say, save your money and go where the customers are appreciated, and the food is better than the hype.

Excellent experience. This was opening weekend and they were on point, running smoothly, well organized. Service was wonderful and food was great.

The waitress was not prepared at all. The pizza was really good. Pasta portions were small. The worse was when I got the ice cream cone at the gelato coubter. $7.56 for a scoop of ice cream: the cone was broken (as an Italia you know you discard broken cones! Special if it’s this overpriced) the ice cream was too hard and the scoop was so small… and the girl handed me the cone with no napkin, just from hand to hand . Poor service poor presentation. Do not recommend. Which is too bad because the food does taste good.

Our server was very sweet. We had the tagliatelle with black truffle which was somewhat bland (with minimal truffle flavor) and initially was served room temperature. They did serve us a new plate that was warmer but not quite hot. We also had the Massese pizza which was good. One of the tables next to us was very loud but otherwise the ambiance was nice.

Opening weekend for this NJ location. Somewhat disappointed. We have been to other Eataly locations. Service was slow. Probably due to the learning curve of new staff. Pasta Portions were mediocre and not very hot. Also never serve "closed" shell fish in a dish. Had to be sent back. Bread and salad were fine. Check took forever. Stopped in market for "ordinary" gelato. Won't rush back.

This is their first official Saturday dinner service and they need to work out some of the kinks. Biggest negative was slow service especially with items from the bar. Also, got one dimmer order wrong but quickly corrected it. Positives were quality and freshness of food and a really nice wine selection. The vibe was nice but a bit noisy maybe because we were seated near the bar. Management staff really pitched in to keep things moving as quickly as possible. Looking forward to going back.

A little chaotic at the front check-in, but this should calm down after opening week. Everything was excellent otherwise. Will definitely be back to dine here again. Nice to have a City-like Italian dining experience in NJ close to home.

Sat for 20 mins before being attended to, drinks took 30 mins to get over to us and food was cold. Our entire section experienced the same thing. I was looking forward to dining here as when I went to Eatly in NYC it was an amazing experience. Pizza was very good though…..

Went during opening week, it was overwhelming and I think Eataly is still fine tuning things. Overall, it was a great experience. Food was good, service was good and the Tiramisu was fantastic.
