Originally opened in 2005, Garrett Harker’s flagship restaurant has reopened its doors just up Beacon St. only three blocks from its original location. Eastern Standard continues to offer seasonally focused New England interpretations of classic brasserie fare, including raw bar and charcuterie, nostalgic favorites like steak tartare, baked rigatoni, steak frites, and butterscotch bread pudding, and some new soon-to-be-instant-classic dishes. Cocktail legend Jackson Cannon has crafted a beverage menu that features an array of craft cocktails both new and classic, a curated selection of wines, and craft beers from near and far.

The evening started out rough. 20 minutes late to sit us at our table which was right next to the wide entrance to the kitchen . We were also stuck next to the waitstaff station and 4 very loud diners. When our drinks came out wrong we had had enough and were ready to leave. But Sophia and Eastern Standard saved the day. Somehow they recognized that we were unhappy and surprised us with a nice quiet booth away from the kitchen, a complimentary appetizer and dessert and paid for our drinks at the bar when we were waiting for the table. They couldn't have treated us better. We really appreciated the gracious hosting of us and all you did to make it right. Food and service were fantastic. Will definitely go back.

Haven’t been to the restaurant since they moved but was a frequent flyer for many years. We loved the new location. Great space! The food was wonderful as always. The service was spectacular thanks to Maria our server who was top notch and extremely personable and professional.

Great drinks, good food but wouldn’t go out of my way for it. Sports bar vibes in a fine dining setting but makes sense being next to Fenway. Go Sox!

Four of us went on a Thursday night. It gets crowded and can be noisy. The decor was lovely (but still liked the other location better). The food was very good but not outstanding. We all got different items: shrimp, burger, pasta and steak frites. All good. Just not exceptional. 4% additional service charge on the bill for the kitchen.

We thoroughly enjoyed the spacious, elegant ambiance of the new location of Eastern Standard. Service was impeccable and the food was just as delicious as the last time we visited. We flew up to Boston from Tampa for one night for a concert and was so looking forward to the dining experience at Eastern Standard. We are looking forward to our next visit to Boston and a return to Eastern Standard.

it was a GREAT EXPERIENCE! They have a great menu, food delicious, yummy wines and excellent service! Kudos to Diana… exemplary service and just delightful! Our only comment would be to have a sign from restaurant aligning with use of elevator! those steps were daunting ! Dottie

Literally never disappoints. We were able to try a number of new items on the menu and all were delicious. Drinks a standout in this city. Worth a visit or three.

Accommodated our table of 4, even though we arrived almost an hour earlier than our reservation, thanks to a quicker game at nearby Fenway Park. And they allowed us to order off the (much more extensive) dinner menu, even though the midday menu was still active. Enjoyed our meals and drinks and had a wonderful time.
