Originally opened in 2005, Garrett Harker’s flagship restaurant has reopened its doors just up Beacon St. only three blocks from its original location. Eastern Standard continues to offer seasonally focused New England interpretations of classic brasserie fare, including raw bar and charcuterie, nostalgic favorites like steak tartare, baked rigatoni, steak frites, and butterscotch bread pudding, and some new soon-to-be-instant-classic dishes. Cocktail legend Jackson Cannon has crafted a beverage menu that features an array of craft cocktails both new and classic, a curated selection of wines, and craft beers from near and far.

La célèbre brasserie Eastern Standard est de retour au Bower Complex et n'a jamais été aussi excellente. I had heard incredible things about this place, but found it to be overrated. I ordered the Shandy for my beverage. It shouldn’t be called that, because it is nothing like a shandy the way I know it. It was light on alcohol, and not very good. I had the burger, with fries. The burger itself was good, but the cheese was not sufficiently melted to stay on it. The fries came out cold. I asked for fresh ones, and it took quite a while. I couldn’t hear any of my companions talking because it was so loud. This is my own personal reaction. I was with five other people, and I think they enjoyed their food. Lobster gnocchi and crabcakes? I myself would not go back, but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t try it.

Great service, Great Food , Great atmosphere!!! Rodrigo served us and took care of all our needs! Great Guy! We will definitely return!! We even went during a Red Sox game!!

Great pasta - Artichoke Agnotti is a must get, great pasta appetizer with a twist. Housemade Mafaldine very well done as well, and a great counter balance to the steak frites and tartare we ordered. Ton of cocktail options - very informative and engaging bartenders. Very reasonable prices for the quality. a bit of the beaten path, maybe a bit too big, but definitely gets my full endorsement.

took us 2.5 hours to have brunch, with kids in a near empty resaraurant. our server was lovely but missing most of the time. cocktails were sadly not what they used to be….. such a bummer!

Eastern Standard has a great new space and its usual enticing menu. However, we found the food and service a bit lackluster. We ordered an angelotti appetizer whicg arrived with frozen cheese filling and the replacement arrived along with entrees. The steak frites and roasted chicken that my companions ordered were good and the beer selection was appealing. I would suggest other spots near Fenway.

Ooofff...the waitress was very nice and engaging but getting her attention was extremely challenging. We waited excessively for nearly everything. It probably took about 15-20 minutes before our order was taken. The food came out right away and the steak was cooked correctly but the fries were cold and the salmon portion was pretty small. We sat down at 6:45 and left just after 8 with only one round of drinks and dinner. We wanted dessert but couldn't get the waitresses attention and ran out of time. Another waitress who served our food didn't even bother to hide her annoyance at having to wait while we cleared our bread plates and asked for ketchup. We had to flag down another waiter to get salt and pepper. Just an overall annoying experience.
