Originally opened in 2005, Garrett Harker’s flagship restaurant has reopened its doors just up Beacon St. only three blocks from its original location. Eastern Standard continues to offer seasonally focused New England interpretations of classic brasserie fare, including raw bar and charcuterie, nostalgic favorites like steak tartare, baked rigatoni, steak frites, and butterscotch bread pudding, and some new soon-to-be-instant-classic dishes. Cocktail legend Jackson Cannon has crafted a beverage menu that features an array of craft cocktails both new and classic, a curated selection of wines, and craft beers from near and far.

Loved our server. Food was great. Kept it simple with mashed potatoes, brocollini, burger, and pasta dish.

First and foremost, our server was excellent. She did not rush us at all and was very accommodating and polite. She made wonderful suggestions. I think the service by far just made everything that much better. Great cheese board Great steak tartare Excellent steak frites And the bone marrow was wonderful. Thanks!

Wonderful experience here before a concert. Service was attentive and helpful and food was delicious. Highly recommend.

Eastern Standard is among the best in Boston. They remembered us from TEN YEARS AGO. This place does not mess around. The server, Jackie, was warm and accommodating. The food was delicious and the portions are generous. I’m so glad they’re back and appear to be doing quite well. They work hard to deliver that level of service but do so with a smile and so much charm. Always a treat.

Fantastic Saturday Brunch/Lunch to meet with some family and celebrate my Mother’s 81 birthday! Some good GF options. Delightful afternoon.

My husband and son each like their steak cooked differently. Well they received exactly what they ordered and expectations were exceeded. Our food was outstanding. I had nicoise salad which I know is a reliable filling meal. We started with the beautiful charcuterie board. A surprise of mac and cheese was a delicious addition to our meal. And the ES famous bread pudding brought a new twist with butterscotch (a flavor I do not normally favor) but just enough to give the dessert a delicious taste, and not too much to drown it with too much sweetness. I know I'll be back. I keep coming back. Oh and Pablo, our server - he's fab.

Appetizers, bread, and cocktails were all excellent and we had great service. Unfortunately, the mafaldine and Mac & Cheese were both far too salty.

Food was excellent all around, service was also quite good, being sat in the front room the ambience was a lot more casual and slightly noisy due to the entrance being right there

Food was great. The acoustics lent the room to be louder than expected, but overall eloquent ambience and experience.
