Happy I was able to make reservations on a prime Friday night dinner hour. Our server was amazing great fun experience with my granddaughter

Any time we have gone to Eastside Mario's, right away we get bread and our drinks. Today we ordered our drinks, got our drinks and then the server came back twice to take our order (first time we were not ready). But the first time we ordered an app and kids meals. Our soup and salad came and we then had to ask for our loaves of bread. She came back way too often. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing but annoying. We then had to ask for our kids desserts at the end. We could have stayed an extra 5 minutes if our kids got dessert and we could have enjoyed our food better. Not the end of the world. But most times we go, we get extra bread to take home and extra salad. Maybe because we had kids? Maybe because we had better people before? I don't know.

The server forgot my daughter soup didn’t bring it until they brought her food. Several of us had pasta that wasn’t warm. We asked for extra sauce for my sister and it took close to 10 minutes to get it.

At Eastside Mario’s for dinner with the grandkids and daughter. Food was really good and the service was prompt and attentive. Noise level is a little high but not a problem. Definitely recommend.

The meal and service were fine, as it usually is at ESM in Guelph. Couple of minor points; I had asked for a large booth for 5 people and we ended up with a small one, which was a little crowded. When checking in there appeared to be a little scramble to come up with any booth at all. Service was slower than it usually is, and the reason given was staff shortage in the kitchen. I am used to getting that excuse from most Government departments, but not from a private company who is in the business of food preparation and serving. ESM is usually better than this. The above does not put me off ESM. I will be back.

don’t get me wrong, i love east side mario’s, the food, the ambiance, it’s great! I also understand how hectic and crazy being a waitress can be. but i didnt have the greatest experience last time i went. The waitress took so long to get us our drinks (which was not what we ordered), our food, and our bill. i thought i’d give her the benefit of doubt and assume she’s really busy but i could see she was not. she was right in front of our table at the bar just chatting it up with other customers with her elbow on the bar and only asked us how our food was once (5 minutes after she handed us our food) i actually wanted to order more food but lost my appetite after she took so long. i went during the buy one get one pasta free promotion and she gave me the wrong free pasta too....i’ll still come back but i would just wish for quicker and more attentive service next time
