We had a wonderful experience at the Fall tea! The food was excellent and you could tell every single item had been specially selected, including the tea choices. Service was excellent, the music and flowers were beautiful, and a lovely time was had by all. Looking forward to doing it again, as well as trying other events. Thank you!

The service (or lack thereof) killed it for me (and my guest). We were sat and waited over ten minutes to be acknowledged, while all the tables around us were helped. Then I had to ask for more water because our drinks, tea and food were plopped on the table and our server never returned. We asked for our check (for a la carte drinks) several times before it was presented and I felt like I was begging the server to take even more of my money. I paid $150 for tea, plus a 20% gratuity in advance for a server who barely showed up at the table, and left us for dead at the end of the meal. I guess if I knew I was guaranteed a $30 tip for crappy service, I would not bring my A Game to work either. But based on this experience, we will not be returning.

We attended the Autumn Tea event and were very impressed with the quality of the teas, food, and the service. The kitchen took great care to ensure that my husband’s gluten free order was safe and delicious. The service was friendly and professional. We’ll definitely return!

We had prepaid reservations for 8 for the Mother’s Day Tea. The Good: - the selection of teas was great and the tea kettles were fun - the selection of food (sandwiches, pastries, etc.) had a nice variety and tasted very good - the staff was friendly and accommodating to special requests (esp re a food allergy and vegetarian request) The Bad: - the service was very slow…even for Mother’s Day. It took over 20 minutes for our first server to come by and greet us after we were seated. It took us nearly 3 hours to finish from our reservation time. A few in our party had to leave before they were finished. - Our party was one of three tables set up outside the dining room. We were placed behind the stairs with a makeshift black tarp directly behind our table. Awful ambience/atmosphere, especially compared to what you would expect from this restaurant. I know we had a larger party of 8, but that’s not unusually big to force accommodations like this. - there was very little explanation of the food provided and no acknowledgement of the two bottles of champagne I had prepaid / ordered until I asked - Spending nearly 3 hours behind the bottom level stairs and staring at a tarp (and an employee door) was far from an ideal way to experience a meal, especially a Mother’s Day Tea…and especially for what we paid.

This was our first experience at the Cafe. We were seated at a table by the window with a wonderful view of the campus. The special items I had preordered were immediately brought in. The selection of teas was very complete. The food was beautifully presented and of the highest quality. We did not feel rushed but were allowed to take our time and enjoy a leisurely tea time.
