McGettigan's is located beside area the Bonnington hotels main entrance. It is our mission, here at DXTR to provide excellence in farm-to-fork dining. From the breed of the animal we select, the farmers who supply us with our produce, the high quality of the fresh vegetables to the succulent charcoal flavors captured on our Josper Grill. Every aspect of our food has been the result of a long thought out process to bring the very best to your plate.

At Casa Della Pizza, we deliver an authentic Italian dining experience, focusing on quality, tradition, and freshness. Here's what makes us special: The Pizza Oven: Our pizzas are baked in the Napoli, a hand-built brick oven made from high-quality refractory fire clay from Alfa's kiln near Rome. This oven retains heat efficiently, and its design ensures each pizza is perfectly cooked, providing a true taste of Italy. The Herb Garden: Our rooftop herb garden supplies fresh herbs, adding rich flavor to our dishes and reflecting our dedication to using the finest ingredients. Our Black Garlic: Our fermented garlic is made made by placing garlic in a warm, moist, controlled environment in house fermentation machine over the course of 2-3 weeks, a process that produces black garlic cloves. Our Pizza Dough: Our 72-hour pizza dough recipe uses slow, cold fermentation to create a flavourful dough with a chewy, bubbly crust. OUR SUPPLIERS Meat Supplier: All our beef and pork come from local butcher Nigel Gahan. Our cured meats, mozzarella, and San Marzano tomatoes are supplied by K&C Norton, ensuring top-quality ingredients in every bite. Fish Supplier: Our seafood is sourced from Select Seafood, guaranteeing fresh and flavourful fish for our dishes. DOP Cheese & Pizza Flour: Our cheese holds the DOP (Protected Designation of Origin) certification, guaranteeing exceptional quality. Our DOP cheese and premium pizza flour, sourced from K&C Norton, bring authentic Italian flavors to our pizzas. Smoker: All of our meats are smoked in-house for 24 hours using applewood and hickory woodchips.

                    I booked a high top a month ago and when I arrived I was put in a corner where I requested a table with the view of a tv and I didn’t get that. All I ordered was 2 portions of wings and when we finished eating the plates were left on my table for an hour and half after eating.

                    Arrived to find the menu had completely changed, the selection of food had been 1/2'd and everything had increased in price by a bout a 1/3. It was now a standard hotel style menu, rather than a BBQ place with a selection of meats and burgers. Asked what happened to the old menu, they advised this was their current menu and by next week they'd be exclusively a pizza place. We reluctantly ordered from the new menu and we're presented with 3 meals, 2 of which weren't as they were stated on the new menu either. Tacos were pretty inedible, the kimchi Korean chicken burger was just a chicken burger, the chips were completely overcooked and hard and the accompaniments with the steak had been swapped around to whatever was in the kitchen at the time. We weren't impressed, they did give us a price reduction and a round of free drinks to apologise but we wouldn't be returning again to McGettigans in its current format. Maybe they were just a place in transition and we hit them at the wrong time. The plus points, the steak was beautifully cooked, the fitout of the bar is fab, and the chicken burger (although not what was on the menu) was nice.

                    The food was cooked well with a good selection on the menu, the place was quiet when we dined. The service unfortunately was dreadful, lovely girls but they really need some training, just felt it let the place down.

                    Nice restaurant but menu on website is not what’s served. Didn’t ask how to cook burger and came well done and dry. Seafood Pasta dish was delicious though a little small. Had to search for servers - never came to check on us or ask for drinks or desserts.

                    Very disappointed with this experience overall, menu wasn’t updated on the website so all our favourites weren’t available. The sea bass wasn’t available even on the new menu. Weren’t offered dessert but told kitchen was closed so we had to ask for dessert. Icecream came in a melted puddle, was like a soup. Had travelled from Drogheda as we had had very good experiences there previously but menu was a letdown. Would recommend updating the website. The staff were very pleasant overall and atmosphere was good.
