Ilan Cohen is a self-taught chef who began his career in Jerusalem, Israel more than 20 years ago.
Along with his wife Lauren they opened Falafel Bistro & Wine Bar in 2007, DVASH’s sister location, and has been serving authentic-Israeli cuisine to the South Florida community for more than a decade.

DVASH, located in Boca Raton, showcases a modern twist on classic mediterranean cuisine. Imagined by Cohen’s daughter, Anabel Hochberg, the menu is designed for sharing and provides guests with the opportunity to travel the culinary world through their taste buds, using only the freshest seasonal ingredients and of course, a little bit of honey.

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Not so much anymore. The last few times I went the food has been disappointing.

We had another great meal at Dvash. The food is thoughtfully prepared - well seasoned and beautifully plated. If you like burgers, they are sensational here. The Jerusalem chicken is superb. Seating is well spaced and service is attentive.

Took a couple who had never been before. They have already made reservations to go again. Food and Service were excellent. The server helped us split some of the dishes. Sold us on a great desert .

The turmeric cauliflower was delicious! I think everything on the menu looks great. I think I will try something new every time I return. It’s a hidden gem that I will keep coming back many more times because the food is healthy and delicious.

Our server, Emily, was lovely, and the manager was very helpful in picking dishes. The food was fantastic. We had the shwarma mahi, the Jerusalem mix, and the lamb chops. The best thing about the meal was the dessert! The carrot cake rivals our favorite of all time, and the Halvah ice cream was like eating halvah. Wow. We will be back.

Delicious food from start to finish, with interesting and diverse menu. Highly recommend. Service was ok but server seemed very inexperienced. Manager helped her out a few times by bringing water, appetizer plates and clearing the table.

Excellent food, excellent service!! Yochi was a fantastic server with a great personality. My mom and I loved our meal. We frequent Dvash because it's consistently great!!

Always good food at Dvash. Hamburgers are the best anywhere. All of us enjoyed the cauliflower appetizer with date sauce. The servers are very thoughtful. Love that they but a carafe of water on the table. We go back frequently.

Always a great experience! The food, the service, the ambiance is amazing! The owners are also the nicest people! Never had a bad meal. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this little gem. GOOOOOO, you won’t regret it:))
