Brian Dunsmoor’s namesake restaurant, Dunsmoor, is the latest iteration of his ongoing exploration of American heritage cooking. It is, first and foremost, a restaurant for the community that surrounds it, and a loving expression of the relentless research that has informed his cooking for the last ten years.

We offer the full menu at tables in our dining room and at the chef's counter, as well as at our outdoor tables. Reservations are recommended but we make every effort to accommodate walk-ins when possible.

Dunsmoor's wine bar, accessible either through the restaurant or via its own door on Ave 35, does not accept reservations and serves a limited menu of our raw and larder items.

D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Peu de chef·fe·s maîtrisent la cuisine au feu de bois comme Brian Dunsmoor, qui a fait ses classes chez la star sudiste Hatchet Hall avant d'ouvrir son restaurant éponyme en 2022. Les longues tables ornées de bougies scintillantes font de l'établissement le lieu idéal pour un rendez-vous galant, tout comme les plats exaltants tels que les huîtres cuites au feu de bois ou les côtelettes de porc en croûte aux champignons. Great experience as always. My favorite restaurant to enjoy when the wether dips a bit. Ordered a few plates and a bottle of wine at the chef’s counter/bar with the hearth blazing. Wine list is well curated and the stem ware is perfect. Service was warm, welcoming, and friendly. Highly recommended and one of Los Angeles’ best restaurants.

This place is amazing at every level. I used to live in the area over 30 years ago and I can’t believe all the amazing restaurants that have popped up over there. This one truly tops the list with an amazing dining experience at the Chefs table with friendly and informative staff. The ribeye and tuna toast were to die for. We live in the Marina but will venture out there for our date nights. Thank you Dunsmoor for an amazing night

The food was all excellent at Dunsmoor. There wasn’t one dish I didn’t enjoy. The service is totally fine, not stellar but good. For what you pay I do think they could put a little more emphasis on the service but the food is truly very good.

This is my favorite restaurant in LA!! The food is incredible. It’s comfort food that sophisticated. Easily the best steak in town. Everything makes sense!

Service is A1 staff is super friendly and helpful. Dishes were all delicious and well priced. Would definitely recommend to try!

The bone marrow was the fattiest I’ve ever tired. And the sand dabs were small and even once we’d de-boned it.. they were disappointing. I think we ordered the wrong things as other friends said the pork and burger is the way to go. It was meh.
