Brian Dunsmoor’s namesake restaurant, Dunsmoor, is the latest iteration of his ongoing exploration of American heritage cooking. It is, first and foremost, a restaurant for the community that surrounds it, and a loving expression of the relentless research that has informed his cooking for the last ten years.

We offer the full menu at tables in our dining room and at the chef's counter, as well as at our outdoor tables. Reservations are recommended but we make every effort to accommodate walk-ins when possible.

Dunsmoor's wine bar, accessible either through the restaurant or via its own door on Ave 35, does not accept reservations and serves a limited menu of our raw and larder items.

Peu de chef·fe·s maîtrisent la cuisine au feu de bois comme Brian Dunsmoor, qui a fait ses classes chez la star sudiste Hatchet Hall avant d'ouvrir son restaurant éponyme en 2022. Les longues tables ornées de bougies scintillantes font de l'établissement le lieu idéal pour un rendez-vous galant, tout comme les plats exaltants tels que les huîtres cuites au feu de bois ou les côtelettes de porc en croûte aux champignons. Le pain de maïs enrobé de beurre est un délice.

Dunsmoor doesn’t disappoint. Great atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. The food is so fresh and delicious. Highly recommend the albacore and oysters. Ribeye is great to share and is very filling. Cornbread is a must. Only downside is they only serve beer and wine, so no cocktails. But you can go next door to the grant for that.

Been wanting to go here for quite a while. Was not disappointed. First and foremost, I'm not sure i've ever had this great a service EVER in Los Angeles or anywhere for that matter. Jaden(?) was simply fantastic as was the entire staff. Really above and beyond, not put on or forced. Just genuinely wonderful people. The chefs were out in the open and they were laughing, smiling and that immediately put me in such a great headspace. The food that we had was excellent and the wines even more so. Staff was freely pouring different things to ensure that we picked just the right thing. The only minor gripe was that the menu felt somewhat limited but that may be because they change it up daily/weekly, etc. The anchovies were AMAZING. We will be going back and The Grant up the street is a great place to grab a cocktail before/after dinner.

The pork chop is not fully cooked I understand is pink in center but the thick side is rare

The food is classic and atmosphere is youthful bohemian Los Angeles. It’s a great fusion and scene that works. Saturday night was our first time, and we’ll be back over and over. Thanks much… Rick and Clarence

Came here for my birthday yesterday and had an amazing time! Everything was delicious from the wine, entrees and dessert! I really recommend the pork chop, mashed potatoes, baby albacore, and the corn bread. They also have a very knowledgeable sommelier who’s available to talk about wine options and find the perfect match for you! Will definitely be coming back◡̈

Love everything about this restaurant except that they wait to seat you until all members of your party have arrived. In LA this is not a very logical policy.
