Brian Dunsmoor’s namesake restaurant, Dunsmoor, is the latest iteration of his ongoing exploration of American heritage cooking. It is, first and foremost, a restaurant for the community that surrounds it, and a loving expression of the relentless research that has informed his cooking for the last ten years.

We offer the full menu at tables in our dining room and at the chef's counter, as well as at our outdoor tables. Reservations are recommended but we make every effort to accommodate walk-ins when possible.

Dunsmoor's wine bar, accessible either through the restaurant or via its own door on Ave 35, does not accept reservations and serves a limited menu of our raw and larder items.

Peu de chef·fe·s maîtrisent la cuisine au feu de bois comme Brian Dunsmoor, qui a fait ses classes chez la star sudiste Hatchet Hall avant d'ouvrir son restaurant éponyme en 2022. Les longues tables ornées de bougies scintillantes font de l'établissement le lieu idéal pour un rendez-vous galant, tout comme les plats exaltants tels que les huîtres cuites au feu de bois ou les côtelettes de porc en croûte aux champignons. Le pain de maïs enrobé de beurre est un délice.

Seated in terrible table near the open flame, incredibly hot. None of the windows have shades so any seatings in the earlier hours will have you getting blasted in the face with sunlight, and the real kicker is our server made a comment about the amount we were ordering that my partner perceived as fat-shaming, and it left an incredibly bad taste in our mouth about the whole experience. Being spoken to like that by someone in a thinner body really came across poorly for my partner, we had been here many times prior but will likely never be returning after this experience.

The food at Dunsmoor was one of the best dinners I've had. Everything we ate had so many different flavors so hard to choose my favorite. The stand outs though were the cornbread, chicory salad, bluefin tuna, Carolina gold rice for appetizers, for dinner I had the black cod, and it was very yummy? Overall, everything was so delicious!

Porkchop and the cornbread were out of this world. Very disappointed that the Chili Stew was not on the menu that day, happens. A couple of the menu items were overhyped by friends that have gone before, and will not be ordering again on my return trip.

Incredible experience. Food was fantastic! Do not sleep on that cornbread or ribeye. Service was 10/10. One of the best birthday dinners we've had.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dunsmore in Eagle Rock, and it was simply amazing. This restaurant truly exceeded all expectations with the best food I've had in years. Every dish we ordered was packed with incredible flavors, unlike anything I've ever experienced before. The quality and creativity of the cuisine were extremely impressive, especially for the area. Dunsmore has definitely set a new standard for dining, and I can't wait to return.

Dined at Dunsmore on Sunday with my parents that were visiting from out of town and had an amazing meal. Music was not too loud, courses were paced well, both of which contributed to a perfect experience. Loved the chicory salad and the baby albacore. Steak was cooked to perfection. Big shoutout to Zoey who went above and beyond helping us choosing the perfect bottle of wine.

Food was fantastic as always. Service was slow to get rolling but our waiter was great once he realized we were there. The 20-something’s who great you upon arrival at check-in are chock full of attitude they’re too young to have earned. All in all another great meal at Dunsmoor.
