Universal praise from our 4 diners for great food. Not sure I've ever had a better dressed crab and I could have happily eaten everything on the relatively short menu.

Of course this is a traditional reputable restaurant with a renowned reputation. The food was of good quality, not cheap but the Dover sole was beautiful. I was disappointed by the coffee and petits fours, which were basically chocolates. Nice chocolates though. It was a bit annoying to be constantly asked how things were. Once is okay. Also the card machine gave me the option of adding 15% or other amounts to tip, and embarrassing with the waitress standing there. Quite hard work at the end of the meal! Next time we'll take cash.

Both my mum and I were, as usual, treated well with delicious food and a lovely bottle of Pinot noir

Sunday lunch, we choose the 2 course set menu and choose roast lamb & beef, good sized portions, great food will go again

The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. Service was quick and the cost was reasonable. Thank you.

Food was outstanding, haven’t been here for a while , but my favourite seaside restaurant. My scallops and lobster were the best I’ve tasted , my partners mackerel was gorgeous Beautiful sea views and the fresh sea air just made it perfect. Our lovely waitress Cheryl couldn’t do enough for us. Wonderful day

Wedding anniversary lunch. Good service on arrival nice table, offered drinks straight away, menu choice good. Unfortunately the restaurant appeared to have a problem with flies , we had flies in 2 of the glasses on the table they were changed but no apology of any kind. Order taken within good time but then waited over 45mins for the food to arrive. There was still a lot of flies buzzing around. The meal was good, but the service went downhill had to ask for dessert menu and again for order to be taken, and finally for the bill. When it arrived it was totally wrong (another table) Then had to find someone to put it right. Unfortunately I will not be returning.

I went to Dunkerley's resteraunt with my family for the first time. The food was delicious, fresh and very well presented. The ambiance was perfect. We will be returning again
