DUNE by Laurent Tourondel is South Florida’s only celebrity chef-driven oceanfront restaurant and special event venues able to accommodate social, corporate gatherings, beachfront weddings, and other special occasions from 10 - 500 people with customized menus by Chef Laurent Tourondel in addition to oceanfront meetings and events. A private wine room is available by reservation in addition to semi-private and private spaces and dining rooms with full audio/visual and sound capabilities for seamless presentations.

                                  I am giving this restaurant the worst rating bc I got there and a very rude woman was there at 3:50 pm. We made a RSVP through Open Table and it was confirmed. When we arrived the woman said it was not possible that we made an RSVP bc the restaurant was setting up for NYE 24. We showed our confirmation to the woman and she just said it still was not possible even though we showed her our RSVP confirmation. Then she basically stared at us waiting for us to leave. She was not friendly or apologetic. She acted like it was our fault. We spent $20 on an Uber ride to get there. The other woman that was there could not help us. It was her first working day there. They made an error. What they should have done was block all RSVPs that day on all RSVP platforms, but they didn’t and that is why it was possible to book an RSVP. The woman had no empathy and was rude to us. If she were nice and empathetic I would be more understanding, but no excuse for her horrible behavior. ): I think the restaurant should be nicer to their customers especially when the restaurant is at fault.

                                  We had a 830 reservation sat down at 9:30 to be told they were out of 5 choices we wanted then they said the kitchen was closing in 30 minutes. Very disappointing to one of our favorite restaurants. I do t think we will be coming back this season

                                  We live in Fort Lauderdale and go to Dune a few times a year. Honestly last night was the worst experience we’ve had at any restaurant in years . Our reservation was at 8pm. They seated us 30 minutes late, they had no sushi or flat breads available. Only 1 pasta item and the explanation we received was that yesterday we only had 175 people coming so that’s what the kitchen plans on but we had 380 come in unexpectedly. Then turn away some guest but don’t sell out of everything and leave people with reservations no choices. In addition to this everything was wrong drinks, cold food, someone else cc upon trying to leave. Manager come by once because we sent back a steak that was cold. We won’t go back and there are 100s of other nice places in FLL if you’re reading this review you should try. They need to get it together or they will be out of business soon.

                                  Arrived for 7:30 pm reservation on a Monday night, was seated at the table within 5 minutes and then waited 20 minutes for a greeting. Our waiter finally appeared and said he’d be with us in less than 30 seconds. Five minutes later, he appeared stating they were short handed but took our drink and sushi order. We waited another 10 minutes and decided to leave. Pretty place but not enough employees. We may have waited if we had an explanation from management and a commitment to improve.

                                  The service was inexcusably bad and slow. We sat for almost 20 minutes before we even got water. Our waiter could never be found. Communication was poor among the staff and they brought us the wrong wine twice. They need to make significant upgrades to their staffing before we would come back.

                                  Our favorite upscale restaurant in Lauderdale. Beautiful decor, food is stunning, it’s def an experience. Shoutout to our amazing server, Diana (from Azerbaijan) who has taken care of us multiple times now. Diana— thank you for such a wonderful night. You make it such a pleasure.

                                  Great atmosphere! Right on the beach. During the day, a great view. At night, just darkness. Why bother. 30 minutes to get a drink. They can’t make a proper martini. Ordered the half dozen oysters, waiter brought them with caviar (a $75 up charge.). All the food was fine, not great, but fine. Dirty plates sat on the table way too long. All in all not worth the price tag in my opinion.

                                  DUNE. Nice sounding name for a restaurant in a prime location, right on the ocean and next to the busiest parts of Lauderdale Beach. That’s where the excitement ends. Cold food, warm drinks, forgotten items, ignored requests. When we expressed our concern about the lack of service several dishes and drinks we had neither ordered nor wanted were thrown onto the table with a promise of more to come. Possibly the worst service we have experienced at any restaurant - but this one charges prime dollar too. A tip of zero dollars would’ve been warranted,however, it wasn’t possible because the restaurant charges a customery 20% for parties of eight or more. Do not eat here. There are many good restaurants in the neighborhood.
