Indulge your tastebuds at Duffy’s Boalsburg Tavern. This restaurant serves up contemporary American cuisine in a traditional Georgian tavern that boasts charming rustic décor, multiple fireplaces, original decor and a relaxed bar. The restaurant’s menu features soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches and tasty entrées. Dining highlights include our wonderful steaks, pan seared duck, King salmon, sweet potato gnocchi, and Duffy’s famous signature chicken wings. A children's menu is also available.

Don't miss our St. Patrick's Day celebration with a full Irish menu and our Colonial Christmas weekend with colonial fare celebrating the nationalities of the original settlers in the area.

It was a very historic building, and the food was absolutely delicious. The service was wonderful and personal; we would definitely come back.

They would have earned 5 stars, but the rehearsal party upstairs made the chef run out of two of their dinner dishes. My duck was great!

This is only the second time I’ve been to Duffy’s. I have had two great meals with great service.

Not the best experience. We had a table of 10 which may have posed a challenge given we saw only one waitstaff member. My husband tried ordering 2 appetizers (lambchops and calamari) and both were not available. He then asked about his dinner before ordering to which he was told it was available to find out 20 minutes later it was not. The drinks took a while to be delivered and we were never asked for another. We ordered more from the bar and paid separately. We had much higher expectations given this restaurant is impossible to get in on game weekends. Arts Fest weekend should have been better staffed and prepared for patrons.

Food was delicious but it took a long time to get food and drinks. There were 6 of us and we had reservations for 6:30. It was 9:30 until we finished eating.

If your purpose is to go to a beautiful historic tavern, check the box. If you’re looking for fine dining. Just doesn’t cut it. We had a dinner salad and a crab cake sandwich. The salad had all the items, crisp and fresh, ranch dressing was good. The crab cake sandwich had a wishy washy bottom of the brioche roll, the cake fell apart after a few bites making it more of a knife and fork affair than a sandwich and in general was not up to snuff. We also were disappointed that a meni item showed up on line but, they just didn’t have it that night. It was a primary reason we selected the restaurant. I give this a three because it truly is average. Nothing to say come and also nothing to say stay home.

Asian Braised Beef was generally tasty, but presentation was better than the taste. Beef was a little overcooked, but the kimche and sauce were flavorful (I usually dislike kimche). The bok choy was colorful, and impressive, but wad flavorless. The cilantro lime rice was just there...didn't contribute or detract. Simple drinks, gin & tonic, took forever. Service was generally pleasant, but not knowledgeable. I think the better servers were outside, where the ambiance was loftier. I'd go back, and would order the same thing, but value wasn't exceptional.

The tavern is a historical building with an interesting story. The food was fairly good as was the service. Overall, it was a good dining experience.
