Indulge your tastebuds at Duffy’s Boalsburg Tavern. This restaurant serves up contemporary American cuisine in a traditional Georgian tavern that boasts charming rustic décor, multiple fireplaces, original decor and a relaxed bar. The restaurant’s menu features soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches and tasty entrées. Dining highlights include our wonderful steaks, pan seared duck, King salmon, sweet potato gnocchi, and Duffy’s famous signature chicken wings. A children's menu is also available.

Don't miss our St. Patrick's Day celebration with a full Irish menu and our Colonial Christmas weekend with colonial fare celebrating the nationalities of the original settlers in the area.

Two members of our party ordered mocktails that were awful. Soup was lukewarm. Crabcakes were mostly filler. Barrata ravioli was good. Key lime pie desert was very good. Very old historic building, but could do more with it. Building is in bad need of painting. The tables are heavily shellacked and sticky to the touch. Overall, it was a mediocre experience and not worth the drive out of State College.

Waited an hour for food after we ordered. No staff helped to alleviate the problem. Soup came out cold. Burgers, when they finally arrived, was so hot we had to let it sit at least five minutes in order to eat them. My wife’s sweet potato fries were so soggy and limp she could not eat them. Horrible experience.

Had The Halibut and the duck breast. Both were more than fine. The service was quick and attentive. One of our favorite places.

We celebrated our 51st wedding anniversary here. We requested a quiet table since my wife and I are both hard of hearing and we were accommodated with a table in a room that had no other diners at the time. That worked great and was most appreciated! The food was excellent, as always.

Good selection of entrees, wait staff was on top of things- checked on us several times during meal. Food was good, hot, and well seasoned. Our table was able to carry on conversations without being loud. I’ve always loved the atmosphere of the old tavern!!
