First time visiting, beautiful food. The soup and the tomato salad were amazing. Service was excellent, really friendly staff. Will definitely come back

Dining alone can be a depressing experience, but the friendliness and general cheery ambience of Duck Goose soon dispelled my worries. The food was uniformly excellent, beginning with charcuterie and warm sourdough (with a side order of decent hummus), followed by Tuna Nicoise with crispy poached egg (as good as it sounds) and finishing off with a dark chocolate, raspberry and crumble concoction. All this was washed down by a restaurant rarity, a bottle of reasonably priced Californian Chardonnay. I'll be back!

We loved our Sunday lunch and I’m being “picky” with my feedback We ate at 14:00 and our Yorkshire Pudding had a rubbery texture as if it had been cooked a while ago and had been kept warm over the service period for too long Our table downstairs was directly in front of the bar area where the waiting staff stood. That table is too close as every time someone went past my chair they brushed against it

Fabulous. I chose the goat cheese tart abd my friend chose the burger which was immense abd delicious. The tart was beautiful and very flavoursome. I added a side of chips which were anazing. A delightful evening upstairs with great ambience and attentive staff.

First time visit for a birthday lunch. Food was very good and prepared with fresh local produce. Salmon starter was really tasty, burger main course the meat was succulent and the chocolate desert ice cream and sorbet finished a really pleasant lunch. Service was efficient but not over the top and we were well looked after by our waitress. Look forward to returning possibly for a Sunday lunch in the near future.

Very slow service, one of the party was a vegetarian and originally given the meat option. An easy fix would be a different coloured skewer, Food was ok.
