The food was lovely. The service was fine. The only problem was it was so cold I ate with my coat on! So if you eat here and it is not mid summer make sure you wear plenty of layers in case you need them. Otherwise it’s a really lovely place.

My second review for this wonderful restaurant - hope that's not considered cheating but Open Table have asked! This comes after my husband and I went for the third time whilst on holiday to their steak night. What can I say? The best steak I've ever had at a restaurant, perfectly cooked with outstanding sides. I believe the other half agreed. He had his third sticky toffee pudding and I the second chocolate delice. Delicious food at a very good price. Please open a branch in Norfolk!!!

Booked this bistro on the strength of reviews alone for the first two meals of our holiday - and was so happy I did! Saturday lunch, I had the burger followed by the chocolate delice and my husband had fish and chips and the sticky toffee pudding. Both were excellent. Sunday's late lunch was roast beef followed by sticky toffee pudding. One of the best roasts we've had. Friendly staff and efficient service. If they were open all week we most probably would've are there every day!! Very highly recommended.

We were a group of 5 and had lunch there on Sunday Sept 9th. The menu was for a Sunday Roast. We found the menu offered a good choice of starter, main and dessert. All enjoyed their mean but for one member the provision of kale was not enjoyed. All were very impressed with the roast potatoes. The wine list offered a good selection of wines and the prices were reasonable. the staff were friendly and efficient. Overall a very pleasant meal. We intend to return and and try a dinner menu during the week.

Sunday Roast was brilliant. Mashed sweet potatoes with sweet potato crisp were amazing! Couldn't fit a dessert in but they looked lovely! 😋

Came to celebrate our anniversary on a camping trip to Leek. What a find! Absolutely fabulous experience. The food was exceptional, a superb pork “solomillo” with smoky pancetta lentils and braised fennel and as good a rib eye steak as I’ve had. Wine list was excellent with something for all tastes. The service was spot on, so good you didn’t notice it! Water filled without asking and everyone was happy at their work. The location worked too, period tile floors, big open windows. It’s a two hour drive from Halifax but we will be back soon.
