The Sunday Roasts here USED to be excellent. Sadly they are now awful. Choice only of chicken or beef - with beef having already run out when we arrived. The chicken was very tough and dry, cabbage was burnt and other veg was cold. Small veg portions + Minimal gravy. The decor remains excellent and the staff were nice - but I'd recommend going there for drinks/ cocktails ans not food.

We recently brought back our Sunday roasts after some time, and while we’re excited to offer them again, it seems we fell short on several aspects during your visit. Sunday lunch was extremely disappointing. Went here after it won an award for best Sunday lunch but can categorically say it was the worst. Clearly reheated, soggy roast potato’s and rude staff.

This past weekend marked the return of our Sunday roasts after some time, and it seems we missed the mark on your visit. Reheated, soggy potatoes and any form of rude service are definitely not what we strive for, and I’ll be addressing both of these issues with our kitchen and front-of-house teams. Came for a roast at the weekend and was really disappointed. Firstly all three roasts came out cold so they swapped them out for us. Then when they came back warmer everything was so bland, the chicken was really overcooked and dry at the same time as being very pale which was odd and everything else was pretty tasteless and didn't have any seasoning particularly the cabbage and soggy roast potatoes. It was reminiscent to bad school dinners to be honest. Came here for a roast last year and it was really great so don't know what has happened. Felt like a complete waste of money which is so frustrating when it's not cheap to eat out - £100 for three of us without any alcohol. There are many other places in town to get a roast for a similar price but 10x the quality. The staff overall all seemed a bit miserable - can't blame them to be honest!

£23.50 for a roast beef dinner is expensive. What made it worse was that it was served not much higher than room temperature. After our complaining they brought new meals which were hotter but fairly tasteless. The cauliflower cheese was simply cauliflower with grated, melted cheese and no sauce whatsoever. Simply awful.

I went last year and it was so good, that I booked a table before the match. Sadly it was nothing like last time. The menu was very limited no roast (the high light of last year) I selected a roll and had to send it back as the bread was stale only to be told that I would have to pay!!. Luckily the manager came over and fixed this issue as time was short before the kick off I had make do with plate of chips, after the long journey from London

We arrived at the time booked for brunch and were shown to a table but given only the drinks menu. It took ages to attract a waiter’s attention to get food menus and when one came he said there would be a BIG delay in getting food because they had been very busy ( the restaurant did not look particularly full - there were a number of empty tables). None of the serving staff seemed remotely interested in serving us so we ended up leaving and going elsewhere. The staff didn’t seem bothered at our departure and may not even have noticed it. A disappointing experience.

Whole experience felt really rushed, reluctant to have us sit inside for table service, clear they wanted us to sit outside for bar service. Server was friendly enough and probably just tired but felt like she didn’t want to serve us. We were going to buy another drink but instead she asked if we wanted the bill. Went for a drink outside but they close that area at 9:15 which seems early. Food was average and not worth the price point I felt. Felt like a letdown considering I made the booking for a birthday.

A very nice open space. Quirky but minimalist and clean. Very poor options for Glutem free. i could have a Gluten Free burger from the entire menu. Service was indifferent and we had to ask several times for the nibbles we ordered. Cocktail spritz was very nice. We decided to go elsewhere to eat.

We were one of only 3 tables that were dining on a Sunday morning and the services was incredibly slow. We waited a while to order then the Coffees/drinks took ages to arrive and food even longer. We had 3 different servers over the time and felt like We’d just been forgotten about. The 3rd server was apologetic and was a lot friendlier, better and quicker. The food was great just shame about the service.
