    Food was good, service was really lacking. No one asked if we wanted more drinks when the wine had finished, had to ask to have our plates cleared once finished dining after waiting for over 10 mins, asked for the bill and still left our dessert plates in front of us, no offer of coffee etc. Would have shared this in person when paying but no wasn’t asked how our experience was just how we wanted to split the bill. Felt very much like the servers just wanted to get their shift over and done with. Overall just really poor which was a shame as food and setting was nice.

    Venue is lovely, we were sat in the restaurant near the back. Temperature, lighting and volume all at good levels!! Unfortunately the food was disappointing. Had the cauliflower starter - it was dry with a small amount of dried in sauce on the top. For £9 it was completely underwhelming. The halloumi fries came with very little dip although they were substantial but again for the price it felt like the quality could have been better. My friend and I both had plant burgers which were ok. Service was a little slow for a Monday night but it was ok. Overall it was quite an underwhelming experience and I wouldn’t eat there again. Maybe would just go for a drink next time.

    Three of us booked for dinner, early on Monday evening. The restaurant was understandably quiet, which was fine, but we were really disappointed with the food. The cauliflower starter I ordered was really floury and the fish was mostly batter with very little fish. We had to ask for the chips to be replaced as they were cold. Service was OK - nothing special.

    Very disappointed The staff need to smile and be welcoming!!! No interaction at all!!! Food average Used to be a lot more accommodating. Train your staff please as it’s great to feel relaxed when out.

    The Sunday Roasts here USED to be excellent. Sadly they are now awful. Choice only of chicken or beef - with beef having already run out when we arrived. The chicken was very tough and dry, cabbage was burnt and other veg was cold. Small veg portions + Minimal gravy. The decor remains excellent and the staff were nice - but I'd recommend going there for drinks/ cocktails ans not food.

    Sunday lunch was extremely disappointing. Went here after it won an award for best Sunday lunch but can categorically say it was the worst. Clearly reheated, soggy roast potato’s and rude staff.

    Came for a roast at the weekend and was really disappointed. Firstly all three roasts came out cold so they swapped them out for us. Then when they came back warmer everything was so bland, the chicken was really overcooked and dry at the same time as being very pale which was odd and everything else was pretty tasteless and didn't have any seasoning particularly the cabbage and soggy roast potatoes. It was reminiscent to bad school dinners to be honest. Came here for a roast last year and it was really great so don't know what has happened. Felt like a complete waste of money which is so frustrating when it's not cheap to eat out - £100 for three of us without any alcohol. There are many other places in town to get a roast for a similar price but 10x the quality. The staff overall all seemed a bit miserable - can't blame them to be honest!

    £23.50 for a roast beef dinner is expensive. What made it worse was that it was served not much higher than room temperature. After our complaining they brought new meals which were hotter but fairly tasteless. The cauliflower cheese was simply cauliflower with grated, melted cheese and no sauce whatsoever. Simply awful.

    I went last year and it was so good, that I booked a table before the match. Sadly it was nothing like last time. The menu was very limited no roast (the high light of last year) I selected a roll and had to send it back as the bread was stale only to be told that I would have to pay!!. Luckily the manager came over and fixed this issue as time was short before the kick off I had make do with plate of chips, after the long journey from London

    We arrived at the time booked for brunch and were shown to a table but given only the drinks menu. It took ages to attract a waiter’s attention to get food menus and when one came he said there would be a BIG delay in getting food because they had been very busy ( the restaurant did not look particularly full - there were a number of empty tables). None of the serving staff seemed remotely interested in serving us so we ended up leaving and going elsewhere. The staff didn’t seem bothered at our departure and may not even have noticed it. A disappointing experience.
