We were staying at the JW and had a reservation for 2 for dinner. When we got to the host we were told that he didn’t have anything available. I said I have a reservation and his response was “oh that doesn’t work, sorry have a good night”. Our night was all planned out and we were now stranded with no dinner reservations. We spoke to a manager that said it sounded wrong and they would look into it. They left us standing in the lobby for ten minutes before we gave up and left. Holiday Inn Express with JW badging.

My wife and I had a date night on Friday night at the Driftlight for the first time. The server and staff were very attentive, and the food was delicious. We had Crab Cakes and Carpaccio for Appetizers. My wife had the Steak, and I had the Salmon. Both were delicious and cooked perfectly. We will definitely put the Driftlight in our rotation.

We were headed to the Kane Brown concert at Amelia Arena for my birthday and wanted a nice dinner before the concert. The Driftlight was an excellent choice. I would recommend this to anyone. The food was awesome and the service (Luis) was even better!

This restaurant is at the JW Marriott. The atmosphere, food and service were all exceptional. The restaurant noise and flys (flys were from the lobby bar’s doors being open) is the reason we most likely will not visit again anytime in the near future. There are too many restaurants in the Tampa Bay Area with the same qualities without the noise and flys.

Ennis is just an incredible server who doesn’t miss a detail and anticipates your every need. He’s simply the best! He never stops - his work ethic is impeccable. We visit their breakfast buffet a few times every six months.

Our waiter was very personable and helpful. We had a quick but enjoyable meal before heading to Amalie Arena (5mjnute walk) for a concert. Beet salad was especially delicious.
