Located on Lake Wylie in the newly developed McLean South Shore, Drift on Lake Wylie is a chef-inspired lakeside chophouse. At the forefront of the Lake Wylie dining scene, our food is simple and seasonal—home to prime cuts of beef, local seafood, and homemade pasta. We had a lovely dinner that was amazing. Brittney took care of all of our needs with a smile on her face. Her service was top notch! We loved it so much, we will go back for Christmas Eve! Drift on Lake Wylie never disappointments!

We went for their special Thanksgiving meal of a starter, main course, and dessert. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals with a few exceptions. I noticed all my food was warm and not hot, including the fried oysters. Someone else mentioned their burrata was a bit bland. However, the squash bisque was very good. It seemed the hit of the groups' meals was the traditional turkey and dressing meal. I had the prime rib, and it was average. I thought my cranberry cheesecake was the best part of the meal (along with the malbec). When brought to our tables, some of food was served to the incorrect person and the desserts were wrong. However, when pointed out, everything was straightened out immediately. We were seated in what seemed to be a back corner where the sun was shining directly on our table, making it very hard to talk to the people to my left. We were told there were no sun shades. Luckily, I had my sunglasses with me. It was a pleasant Thanksgiving meal, though, and we weren't rushed at all. Much more relaxed than doing all this at home.

Thanksgiving- fried oysters were like fried bread. Where’s the oysters? Turkey was very good. Prime rib was too rare and wasn’t appealing. Mashed potatoes were very good. Sweet potato casserole was delicious. Mac and cheese wasn’t hot. Hated the raw green beans. This wasn’t our best meal at The Drift but it was a holiday. We had very good service, though. Service was excellent.

Loved out Thanksgiving meal at Drift. The lamb was outstanding. Also our server Jules was fantastic. She was friendly, helpful and made our dining experience fun and delightful!

The entree could have been a larger portion for the price. Otherwise, the entire experience iwas above and beyond the normal restaurant experience.

It was a quiet night, but the staff was incredible, food was delicious. We will definitely be coming back

Food runners just could not get it right. Placed “main” and sides with wrong (5) guest - several times. When told “ this is not my dinner” - no response - just moved dinners around. We have dined at Drift for over a year. This is the first time this has happened.

Went here for my husband’s birthday last night. We were sat quickly even though we were very early for our reservation. Our server Marshall was very nice and wasn’t overbearing but attentive. It took quite a while for our bread appetizer to come out and when it did the bread was still cold in the center like they hadn’t microwaved it long enough. When our steaks came out, my husbands was cold. So much so that his butter never even melted on top. He’s not one to complain and said taste was still good enough so he ate it regardless. I had a filet that was a little pink for my preference, tasted ok, definitely have had better steaks for that price point. The two sides we ordered were middle of the road taste wise also. Overall, while it wasn’t the worst steakhouse we’ve ever been to, it was not what it was made out to be and we won’t be returning.
