Located on Lake Wylie in the newly developed McLean South Shore, Drift on Lake Wylie is a chef-inspired lakeside chophouse. At the forefront of the Lake Wylie dining scene, our food is simple and seasonal—home to prime cuts of beef, local seafood, and homemade pasta. Whether you join us for dinner, pop by the bustling bar for a quick bite, or book one of our private dining rooms for a special dinner or cocktail party, we look forward to serving you soon.

    The food was amazing. Our group of four ordered a few cocktails which included generous pours. Between us we had the the calamari, Lamb Stroganoff, lobster bisque, lamb kabobs and the lobster risotto. Everyone raved about their individual meals. I had the risotto and it was amazing! Bits of lobster throughout and the tail on top was cooked perfectly. I had a bit of my husband’s lamb kabobs and almost couldn’t decide which dish I preferred. The portions were very generous and a little of everything came home with us. My parents split a creme brûlée; the custard was quite good but the brûlée was a bit thin for my taste. My husband ordered the carrot cake to go. I’ll try a bit tomorrow but it looked divine. Wendi provided great service. She was attentive, knowledgeable and entertaining. All around a successful first visit. We’ll be back!

    The new management and freedom that has been given to the Chef is definitely apparent as the overall menu and experience is now one worthy of putting on your list for an enjoyable evening out.

    Beyond excellent waiter and management service. Very tasty food selections and wine pairings. A bit noisy as we were seated in the bar area but overall a wonderful experience for our birthday celebration! Perfect setting on the water - highly recommend.

    We had lunch on Friday, and food and service were both excellent. The NY Strip was cooked perfectly, and Fish and Chips were very good also.

    One of the best restaurants around. The staff was extremely nice, the food was amazing it was a great place to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
