People come from near and far to eat, drink and bliss out at Scottish Thistle Award winning Drift, a unique coffee house with breathtaking views over unspoilt miles of Firth of Forth coast and the Bass Rock. Drift is perfect for walkers, cyclists, day trippers and tourists (we’re half a mile away from Tantallon Castle) and very popular with locals too. Everything is freshly made, and, as a farm diversification business born out of a passion for food and drink, we love strengthening the connections between the land, sea and the table.

    I love this cafe it not only boasts the most amazing views of the Forth and Bass Rock, but the food is so delicious too. The choice of seasonal dishes is great and the Chocolate Guinness Cake is amazing!. You must book to avoid disappointment.

    We visit Drift often as lucky to stay fairly close. We love the view especially if you get a window table - and the food is always good & menu does change fairly frequently which is good if you do go often. Service is good but avoid weekend at lunchtime if you want a quiet lunch - it’s always popular! We like going during the week if we can. We just love the set up - so different & those views!

    Once again, this restaurant represents a great experience for locals and visitors. Its setting is wonderful with food/service to match. If you do have friends, who are visiting North Berwick I would strongly recommend you take them here. If going to Edinburgh, check out the Skyline restaurant in the west end.
