Celebrate harvest on the harbour. This event begins with a scenic boat cruise across Halifax Harbour. Enjoy bubbly and oysters while enjoying unparalleled views of the city skyline, setting the tone for an unforgettable afternoon. Upon arrival at George’s Island, explore its fabled tunnels with a guided tour and a private wine tasting within its historic depths. Drift’s Chef Lawrence Deneau will elevate the classic lobster boil with a modern twist. Sit at the ocean’s edge and savour boiled lobster, clams, PEI mussels, and shrimp, paired with local vegetables and rich, drawn butter. The experience continues with grilled Halifax steak and piri piri chicken wings, culminating in a decadent Nova Scotia wild blueberry cobbler.

We were staying at the hotel so wanted to have dinner on site. The ambience and decor are lovely, the food was really good and we had a very nice dinner here.

From top to tails our anniversary experience was incredible. Our server Maya was fantastic. She was knowledgeable about the food and savvy enough to give my wife and I space to enjoy the meal. The ambiance was romantic and the crab hush puppies were divine.

We had one of the best meals we can recall at Drift on our last night in Halifax. Great ambiance and service and the food is amazing!

Came for brunch with a few friends. Was absolutely perfect! The breakfast dish I had was spot on - the black pudding was especially good!! Service was impeccable! Extra thank you to Jimin (our server) and Ian (manager) for a great experience.

Firstly, the hostess forgot about us waiting/sitting at the bar. We were early and she had us in her reservation list. We had to go speak to her 15 minutes past our reservation and she no longer had us on the reservation list. Secondly the wine we wanted off the wine list was not available and we were recommended by a manager another bottle. It was served and there was no follow-up by the manager as to how we liked it and we didn't enjoy it at all. We had the snow crab and beef marrow apps and they were good. Husband loved the scallops and pork belly dinner. I had the lamb, lamb was good but the accompanying bed of lentils, greens, raisins not to my liking. LASTLY and this is the big one, we were seated beside a table of 10 who, particularly one individual was so obnoxiously loud it ruined our dinner.

We had an excellent meal. The signature cocktails were very interesting, nice to see a list that moves out from the normal borders of the shelf. My son had the Marrow Rarebit to start, which could have been a meal all to itself. Excellent richness in the jus and just the right cross of the mellow flavor of marrow with the aged cheddar. My mussels were as expected, perfect for a night where I wasn't that hungry going in. The highlight though was the Heirloom Carrot starter. I would not have thought carrots could be that interesting but it was the smoked ricotta that caught my attention, and they did not disappoint.

The service at Drift was incredible and the food was delicious. We had three dishes off the starter menu and they were amazing, the roasted carrot/ricotta dish was so flavourful, the shrimp/lobster cakes werw so tasty and the crab hush puppies were so yummy especially the citrus aoili. We had 2 different gelatos for dessert and they were equally great. We will definitely come back here next time we’re in Halifax!
