We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary that evening. The staff was fantastic. We appreciated their engagement and attentive service. It wasn't our first time here and certainly it won't be the last.

Obnoxious level of noise needed to be a lip reader. Service was good food a total let down - overly salted more in presentation than substance. Pretty sure the brown bread rolls were nuked to heat up, obvious sign rubbery bread! Wine is again well above at 19.00 a glass - a tad expensive. Generally did not have the feeling that this was almost 300.00 for 2 people that the experience or food was worth it, too many other restaurants in the HRM at this price point where you can actually hear each other and spend at that level. There is a difference between high energy and just a very unpleasant experience - will not recommend or return.

Fantastic dinner, had the hodgepodge and it was perfect. We ate outside and enjoyed the people watching. The service was attentive without being intrusive.

Service and ambience was amazing. Great location Menu is weak, trying way too hard to be a-vant-grade Specialty drink are brutally over priced Overall we are glad we went….once. Can’t beat outdoor dining on the HFX waterfront

Pros: great location and patio area. Right in the heart of the waterfront Decor and ambiance is also nice inside Cons: Server we had was not attentive (forgot to bring extra sauce for the steak). When other staff was asked for a drink, they never rang it up or told our server. Unfortunately the food wasn’t the best for the price you pay. Asked for a medium rare steak and came medium to well done. Server did offer to get a new one but at that time. I didn’t take up the offer as we were on a time crunch. Rest of the meals tasted just okay. Overall, we loved the atmosphere but will not be heading back anytime soon for the service and food quality

We had a wonderful meal. I would highly recommend it. The food was delicious, the service was spot on. And it’s a pretty place.

Drift was an incredible experience - Justin was a great server, the host was so sweet and had the warmest personality, and the food was AMAZING. A must-have experience for anyone visiting Halifax / the east coast!

First time at Drift. Sat outside as it was a beautiful evening with lots of folks around for the Halifax Jazz Festival. Lovely appetizer “gift” from the chef - smoked brisket over ricotta with cherry and mint - set the scene for a very tasty dining experience. The carrots starter is out of this world delicious with so many components and flavours I wanted to lick the bowl! Shrimp ceviche was a weekend special and was fresh and delicious. My boyfriend had the lamb as said it was the best he’s ever had. Our servers were a bit reserved and not overly friendly. We were not asked how our food was - thankfully it was fantastic.
