Drift 82 is located on the South Shore of Long Island in the burgeoning town of Patchogue right on the Patchogue river which leads to the mouth of The Great South Bay. Ferries from Fire Island's Davis Park pull in only steps away from Drift 82's doors.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Drift 82. The location is beautiful. I definitely want to return in the future in the daylight to appreciate the water views, as we went after sunset for the moonlit water views. We dined inside since the evening got quite chilly, but the outdoor dining/bar area looked enticing. Our meals were delicious and the cocktails were even better.

Dined here this past Sunday for my birthday dinner. Our waitress was phenomenal, she attentive and provided us with their specials for the evening. We started off with a beef carpaccio which I’ve never had and this app was AMAZING, so flavorful and tasty! My party of 3 people all ordered the Halibut special which came with truffle mushroom risotto, delicious! We also ordered a side of sautéed asparagus and sweet potato fries, both excellent, loved the garlic on the asparagus! For dessert, I went with my favorite which was the rainbow cake and it was fantastic.

The prices went up terribly. Also, when making the reservation, they ask if its a special occasion. I wrote birthdays. Obviously, they don't look at that because they had no idea.once told. They said what desert do you like...we were charged. Lol

Food was great. Service excellent. We were not rushed and were there for 3 hours enjoying the beautiful weather and a nice glass of wine.
